he will he will.. future is the key for holger
You have proven for many years that you are 97.4% accurate in your predictions (not quite 99% as you claimed, but close enough). I'm fully confident all your lofty predictions for Rune will come true!

Congratulations Tsitsipas on winning your 3rd Monte Carlo title.

Quite impressive that he excels at this particular tournament.

Hopefully, he will build his confidence marching forward.

In winning 2024 Monte Carlo, Tsitsipas becomes:

1. The 1st player to three-peat at the event since Nadal in 2018.
2. 1 of only 5 players to three-peat at this event in the Open Era (along with Borg, Nastase, Muster, Nadal).
3. 1 of only 7 active players to win at least 3 Masters 1000 titles (along with Djokovic, Nadal, Murray, Medvedev, Alcaraz, Zverev).

He didn't three peat actually since Rublev won last year
Bur #2 is the most interesting stat, only Nadal has won more MC titles in the Open Era - extraordinary that no one else could win more than 3

Well, by "three-peat" I meant win there 3 times. Didn't mean to imply he won 3 in a row. In the Open Era only Nastase and Nadal (several times) have done that .

You are still crying about it lmao. What a terrible bunch of fans a classy player like Sinner has. It’s a tennis match. These things happen all the time, especially on clay. Get over it.

So stating an obvious is crying and moaning?lmao , i couldn't care less about masters but it has to be said the way it is. Umpire call robbed Sinner off and Stef got an easy peasy title on his plate in final.

Oh dear what a shame it wasn't a tighter match but congratulations to Stephanos and commiserations to Ruud who was perhaps experiencing a bit of shell shock after his great win yesterday.

There's no question Sinner cramping up in the last few games turned the tide for Tsitsipas given Sinner was only a couple of games from closing it out at that point. But that's the way the cookie crumbles. Fitness is part of the game and you have to stay fit to win!

Ah right fair enough, just coincidental that Nadal won in three consecutive years from 2016-18

It wasn't just cramping but a wrong call on bp , he would have needed just a game to close it down.

Good for Tsitsipas. Makes the clay season more interesting. And good for Ruud who I wouldn't pick to win RG, but who I think could pull an upset of a top guy (or at least cause some stress in a competitive match) IF he can make it that far to play one of the top guys.

Too much whining from Sinner fans here, it's getting annoying. This isn't the first time a player is victim of a wrong call in tennis history. I can't recall how many times it happened to the Big-3. They were also robbed of points because of umpires. Y'all act like it was a match point, but it was not. The match was close, Tsitsipas could've also won in 2, he missed 6 or 7 BP in the 2nd set. Many players lose sets even after leading 4-1. Tsitsipas himself was up 5-0 against Zverev and he almost lost it. No one knows for sure the outcome of the match. With ifs, we can rewrite the whole history of tennis. You can't say that Sinner lost because of 1 point, it makes you sound like sore losers. Sinner has already moved on, his fans should do the same. I'm not a Tsitsipas fan at all, but there is a reason why he wins this tournament for the 3rd time, it's no coincidence. He deserves it. Congratulations!

It wasn't just a point ffs , it gifted stef a title. Not all points are same son!

Congrats to Tsits, what a great run this was! And special thanks for downing the Zedrot on the way to the title! Before the tournament I thought that Tsits would continue his downhill run and considered it more likely that he would drop out of the top 20 than making back into the top 10. What a pleasant surprise!

Well done to Tsitsipas. Would have been nice if the final had been more of a contest, but he brought a great level in the first set and Ruud didn't. And I think he saved every single break point he faced - some clutch play there.

It didn't "gift" Stef anything. Stef lost a crucial point early on in the set due to a bad call himself and went on to get broken in the very same game. Of course you won't mention that since it doesn't suit your narrative. Binnerfam is the absolute worst. I dread what they are going to do to this place in the coming months and years. Alcaraz and Rune better slay.

Shame for Ruud that he didn't play Djokovic in the final instead of the semi. I think he hadn't quite recovered from the euphoria of getting his 1st ever win over the Serbian Super-Star and couldn't re-focus in time for the final.

more like he would lose to gioco if their match happened in final instead of a sf

Lol

Don't make excuses for Ruud

He is not that good. He is good enough to be new Ferrer. And yes most nostalgia fans will say Ferrer was better. But zero mc zero Barcelona zero Madrid and zero Rome. He was not. On clay.

Tsitsipas is much better than Ferrer on clay. If not much better then at least better.

Stef didn't lose BP due to wrong call and there's a difference in 15-15 and break points to go two breaks down .not all points are same.

Badosa said before the tournament began that if Stef won it all, he'd cut his hair. Can't wait to see short-haired Stef again.

He's just a naturally good-looking guy. The haircut don't matter much [annoyed, envious].
And now he's playing well again, too? I want my money back

Very unfortunate for Sinner that a few has transformed his bandwagon into trailer(trash)
