I get that Dandy are tired but the number of returns that aren’t even close to going in, on Paul’s serve, is not what we need

Let's be honest here, Murray is about to retire, Evans is a journeyman who is in the latter stage of his own career at 34 and they are playing two borderline top 10 players who are in their prime age wise. This was always going to be a difficult match so there is no shame losing here. Was still a fun couple of matches from them!

They get the break!!

They're gonna have to do it once more after this to stay in the match but the fight from Murray is just so great to watch!

Except for when it's time to win the Stanley Cup

Great fightback from Murray and Evans but he did himself proud here, showed why he is an ATG of tennis and will be remembered for a long time!

It’s mostly luck in the Olympics otherwise you wouldn’t have Nico Massu and Marc Rosset with gold medals and Fed and Novak with zero
It’s an extra load to carry year for the top players. Yes the lower ranked guys also grind through the year but some of these lower ranked guys are getting a chance to take out a top player as country representation comes into it.

Ebden/Peers take the first set 7-5 over Paul/Fritz in the doubles.

Very tight set, both teams had opportunities but the Aussie doubles specialists just too good when it counted.

Come on Aussies, one more set and we fight for Gold!

It's the first time Aussies are in an Olympic Gold Medal match since the Woodies made the Men's Doubles final in Sydney.

Alicia Molik played the Bronze medal match (and won) in singles in Athens 2004.

And Barty/Peers played the Bronze medal match in Tokyo 2020 (they won thanks to Novak's withdrawal).
