Wow. Zverev just leap-frogged Alcaraz in the live rankings(Race to Turin).

After today's win, it sits like this:
Sinner 10330
Zverev 6965(7315 if he wins the final)
Alcaraz 6810
Med 4830
Fritz 4300

If Zverev bags the title, then he'll be up by 505 points.

It will be very hard now to stop Zverev from winning Paris.
Heh, heh, you called it previously too, I think. I agree that he's looking more single minded than he sometimes has done. However, I'll believe the hoisting of the trophy when I see it, as it will be everything to play for in the final. Hope Khachavov can get through too.

Holger has played better too, seeming more confident. Good to see, hope he continues to improve.

He will end the year as world number 2 and well deserved. This can be his best ever year if he wins ATP finals + Paris + Rome

Holger has become net rusher and his baseline game doesn't hold up vs top players on medium courts no matter what we think of him as a player.
When courts are too fast, there is more randomness and Holger has benefitted a bit from that.

You’re just saying that because of the long list of prestigious winners of this tournament.
That list isn't bad when Djokovic has won it 7 times, Safin won it 3 times, both Sampras and Agassi have won it two times each, add in Edberg, Becker, Federer, Murray, throw in Nalbandian, Davydenko and Ferrer, and it isn't a weak list by any stretch of the imagination. Too many people only see the Sock, Khach wins, this title has been mostly won by elite players.

I admit I was thinking of Sock.

That was the most obnoxious performance I have ever seen from Humbert. I only watched the last 3 games admittedly, so did anything happen between them to cause this kind of behaviour?

Ugo seemed so clueless at the net. Clearly Karen had nothing left and Ugo still was going after every shot / celebrating when Karen couldn’t move. I like Ugo’s game but cmon any time your opponent is somewhat injured you can’t feel that good about the win

He has played 3 tournaments up to the final 4 in three weeks. Thats a lot of tennis
Those 2 prior tournaments gave him the form to play so well here, but also ground him down... It's a shame to see but hopefully he will take the form into next year.
Karen seemed to think Ugo was not particularly empathetic to his physical struggles, that what I gauged from the net encounter.

I think he was high on adrenaline

Sure but seems like he injured himself at around 3:3, from there he couldn‘t move well anymore
Yes, Khach was clearly injured at 2:2, he called a trainer in the 3:2 changeover. He was done.
Ugo went on celebrating each point with the fist up, when his opponent couldn't clearly run.
Classless. I even did not like him when Khach was not injured.
As I said, I am still a card carrying member of the ABZ, but tomorrow I'll be cheering for Z.
