Of course Alcaraz is better than Nadal these days, but it's still a massive improvement from Djokovic since Wimbledon. It looks like he needed one tournament to be fully back after his injury.

This match reminds me when I was 10+ years younger watching these two play hours and hours of tennis. Those were good times. Now this makes me sad as this might be Nadal's last match in singles. Besides that, another sad thing, youth is temporary. As if I observe part of me dying in this match. Father time takes away all good moments from us. So let's enjoy this match and remember good old times with these two superb players.

Djokovic's struggle is with top 10 players, you could say top 20 can be a test for him. This is a guy from outside the top 150 who struggles with just about anyone inside the top 50.

He looks the same to me, playing solid enough. It's not like he struggled before the Final in Wimbledon.

Any rallies more than 4 shots, then Rafa in big trouble.

Problem for Novak, he is not patient himself anymore to go long rallies himself.

Rafa hitting short because Novak is not giving him time. Doesn't appear he has enough to threaten a well-playing Novak.
Rafa's slow Movement and speed has been game changer in this rivalry , he still kept slam race competitive. Novak still moves better than Rafa did at 32/33

Rafa can still dictate the point when Nole hits a mid court ball, but as soon as he has him running it's pretty much defense and loopy balls. he's still fighting great but the level is simply not there

This is like the first set of that 2020 final at the moment. Fairly closely contested within games, scoreboard-wise at least, but all of them going one way.

Nah, Djok is holding serve quite comfortably...

and the level from Rafa is night and day compared to 2020 final lol
