Djokovic this week has broken Nadal's record for best winning percentage in masters tournaments. If he wins the final, he will not only win his 100th title, but he will also equal Nadal's record for most masters series matches won. This record is going to fall sooner or later regardless, as Djokovic only needs two more wins for it.
Man, the dude is incredible. He took the tb out of Taylor's hands and created the win, seemingly against the odds. That said, Novak will need to tighten up his game against Jannik, who is flying once in the groove.

I'm not cheering one over the other, but Jannik is not Taylor, and will likely take any chink in Novak's armour, and attack it ruthlessly. If both play well, it is likely to be a corker.

Can't watch the tournament as I have no subscription, but it sounds like we have a great final on our hands - you can't ever count Djokovic out, but I suspect Sinner will take it.

Djokovic has likely guaranteed his WTF participation with this run; he might not even need to do particularly well in Paris. Remarkable given that he played few tournaments and won no ATP titles so far this year. (I'd be a bit surprised if he ends the year without one, though stranger things have happened.)

A good run at the WTF may keep him in the top 4 and maintain top 4 seeding at the AO.

I went to sleep during medical time out, thinking that the match would go for 3 sets. Woke up this morning and was just mind blown that Djokovic did it in straight sets. I just watched the rest of the match, and wow Fritz was choking big time. I wonder if he does yoga and meditation at all? 0-10 vs Djokovic now omg omg.

Machac played very well, Fritz played very well...but in the end, it comes down to this.
Taylor Fritz the uso finalist and in his prime at 26, loses to a 38 year old playing with a bad right knee in a brace for months, and a mto for the left hip in the 2nd set. If it had gone to a 3rd set, Novak would have had to request an old man break overnight to continue the next day.
