Looks like there is no thread. Welcome back to the court Mr Tim Van Rijthoven who is making his first appearance on ATP tour since I believe 2 years? He is down a set 4-6 before rain was suspended. But very exciting to see the big man back. I don't expect him to repeat his efforts from two years ago but I didn't expect him to beat Fritz, FAA (in form), and Medvedev to get his first and only ATP title.

Van Rijthoven will play the demon who is top seed in the second round if he can come back against Bergs (match has been suspended rain).

Raonic also playing. Griekspoor, Mannarino, Thompson, Khachanov, Humbert, Korda, & Tommy Paul make up the other seeds. Dangerous floaters Fils, Cazaux (plays Fils 1st rd).

Very excited.

Mannarino being ranked 21 is all you need to know about the state of the ATP Tour. Easily beaten by #125 Napolitano.

Van rijthoven out to Zizou Bergs 6-4, 6-3 in a suspended match. Bergs for sure is the more match fit player of the two. Tim should have tried coming through qualies to get a few matches but he's probably broke. Long road back. Hopefully he can make wimby qualies but it will have to be a WC which is highly unlikely.

What a pity. I like Tim. His victory against Medvedev in the final was a fairy tale run. He played like a man possessed, like a true grass champion!

I still watch that run from time to time. I still have the videos somewhere on my hard drive. Truly inspirational work on grasscourt. Then what Tim did against Olelka at Wimbledon, chefs kiss.

Poor man's Hewitt with a moustache takes the first set. Korda's tentative indifference makes it easy for Speed Demon.

Poor Korda has big blister on the bottom of his right foot near the toe.
Having MTO for that after fighting heart to get the break back in second set from 2-5 down to 4-5 now.

9th ATP title for De Minaur and 7th at ATP250 level. It is his 2nd title this season (after winning Acapulco) and 1st on grass. Looking good ahead of Queen's and Wimbledon.

It's kind of cool how this pair works in tandem.
I'm talking about the Demon-Boulter pair.
Is it just a coincidence that once again each have won their respective tournies at the same time?
I'll have what they're having. :)
