and misses another easy one......Muchova has outplayed her, but there have been chances, and she is just way off tonight - it was a quick turnaround for this match, now - maybe that's part of it.
Yep. You nailed it. Hopefully, Muchova hits a slump to allow Pegula and the crowd to get back in it.

pegula isn't playing bad she is just getting outplayed and muchova played really well that first set. muchova played yesterday also and was sick during her match

Nah, first set she's so sluggish and don't know what to do. It's better now but yes Muchova level was insane set 1

Well Muchova should have ran away with this match. But some easy errors plus being too predictable has made this second set slipping away.

Steffi FH was a shocking new trend back then. It certainly was not retro. Same with Henin BH. Classic styles like Evert, Navratilova, Sancez-Vicario, those are the players Navarro plays like.
Um, what? I like Navarro, but she is nowhere near playing like Navratilova (or most other players from that era). Her slice isn't good (and she only uses it when forced), she doesn't volley particularly well, and she never serves and volleys.

Why do we never see women slide? If recreational 4.5s can do it WTA pros really should be able to as well

I usually don’t like watching players who default to a BH slice shot in and shot out. But there’s something about Muchova’s slices (and Grigor’s) that intoxicate me
With takes like these, no wonder you are a Cobolli fan.

JPeg sick or just feeling defeated? Energy level and body language are both bad.
She always looks like this. Lethargic and uninterested. I don't know how anyone actually roots for her, because she gives you nothing to go on or get behind.

US Open crowds don't appreciate Muchova's game. Sad the crowd can't appreciate good tennis. Typical New Yorkers.
I'm American but I just want the better player to win.
WTF? Do you mean the most cultured, clever, diverse, worldly, industrious... population in the United States? Those NY'ers? Only thing typical about their tennis fandom is that they are busy with other things.

it's hard to read Muchova, can't tell it's the lack of urgency or she was actually panicking, unless she comes back to life like in in set 1, it will be 50 / 50 match and slightly in favor of JPeg

Well we finally have a 3 setter.

After a straight set SF earlier plus all 4 QF's finishing easily in straights. Even in the 4R only two of the 8 matches went 3.

It's all been rather straight forward.

i get the feeling this WTA match will be better than any of the Men's semifinal match............. I am reading and hearing that Jack Draper has some kind of leg injury or thigh injury and he's going to get blown out tomorrow. and tommy paul and big foe are 2nd rate players so nothing to see there.
