Yeah, I was watching the match and I understood he was bottling second serve body returns. Trash is still a preposterous word choice. The poster you replied to also wasn’t speaking in this match terms, but in general.

Enjoyed that match very much as I like Paul's play style, his logical game plan and the asymmetrical tactical clash. Sinner has greatly improved in understanding the game of tennis and adapting his. Very few indeed, aided by a strong serve day, can hope to match him from the baseline.

Despite the two early breaks and a redlining Tommy the stats show a clear performance gap with 93 to 116 points scored. Jannik only converted 4/14 break balls while saving only 2/4...

The 2 bp saved was in very last game for sinner. After first serve 1-4 down he never faced a BP till very end in fact he was winning love game on serves despite 50% serves in in second. His serve and serve +1, serve +3 are huge weapons in the game today.

I find Sinner's game more exciting than Djokovic's. I like the massive power hitting from all angles. It's fun to watch.
