Medvedev can beat him, there's no doubt about that. No one has been as consistent at the USO the last 5 years, not even Djokovic. He loves the Arthur Ashe court
Maybe but Sinner is a force of nature when he goes in lockdown and hits his missile ground strokes . I don't think Medvedev has any chance if Sinner plays his A level.

Match is over, both players need to give their WADA samples immediately after the match - no? Which one do both have TUE's?

Hey prophet, do you think Sinner is gonna dominate HC slams for years?
Who knows? He or Alcaraz aren't cut from the same cloth as the big 3.
These guys get injured too much and are not consistent enough.
I don't believe we will have sustained dominance at the top. It will likely be multiple players winning slams.

Sinner's game is more suited to HC, Alcaraz has trouble beating lesser players on HC and has not improved at all.

I think Z can beat Sinner , he has great h2h advantage and is not scared of him.

Yep, pretty much. Only Z has a shot and he's a clear underdog against either. Might as well not even play the semi on the Med/Sinner side.
This is correct. Z has very little chance against either of Med or Sinner in a slam final. He is going to choke badly as he always does.

I think this is a great chance for Med. Sinner is playing great, but if Med can zone in on his serve and product a sublime lockdown performance he can outlast Sinner physically. If the match goes 5, I favor Med.

The incentive is that the SF is as good as a walkover.

Agree on Med vs Z, Z has a mental blockage against Meddy.

I'm glad Sinner got a hard QF like Tommy here because if he went against Med without being tried by fire here, and put out serving stats like the 1st 2 sets, he'd have a very uphill battle.

Better to be slightly more tired than a lot more undercooked

If they kill each other in the match, the winner might not have enough left for Z-bot in the final

But yeah Sinner and Med are the obvious 2 main contenders now
Well there is 4 full days between the QF and the final. Plus the SF is as good as a walkover. So Sinner or Med won't run out of gas in the final.

Ttw over exaggerates

Sinner is best at holding serve in 2024. Second set was his worst despite 1-4 start in first and yet TP barely pushed him to deuce.

At this rate it would be non essential how much serve % sinner has vs players of high caliber like Paul. Only vs very best does he even need serve to be great.

Alcaraz has better potential, talent and tennis IQ. No one knows what the Alcaraz ceiling is but for Sinner it might be close.
Still mentally I find both suspect. The tendency to get injured, lose concentration, get discouraged from losses for a long time etc etc.

No one is stopping Zed. Sorry to tell you mate.

This sport is in the mud man. A doper is about to win the U.S. Open. No justice. Would rather watch snooker.
