Well done Draper! Not the best match quality wise, but got it done

Interesting that he hasn't dropped a set yet. I don't see him getting past either Medvedev or Sinner - but stranger things have happened...

What if Sinner Meddy kill each other and the winner cant move properly in the SF. Will we witness jack Draper win a slam without dropping a set before Novak freakin Djokovic lol

Jack is always making jokes in his on-court interviews here, and the crowd never laughs. Can they really not understand his accent or something, or do they just hate the English? :-D

In my opinion, Draper would take down Sinner, but lose against Med.
Draper has NO CHANCE against Sinner or Medvedev assuming both are fit.
Draper is a tier 3/tier 4 player who got lucky and is generally at least 2 levels below Medvedev and 3 levels below Sinner skillwise.
The fact that Draper made it to the SF of the UsOpen just tells us this is a WEAK ERA.

Is Draper worse than Ginepri?? I havent seen Ginepri play much but his stats are not good at all
There's certainly a contrast in their runs. Ginepri won 3 consecutive 5-setters (against Haas, Gasquet and Coria) and then lost another 5-setter (to Agassi), while Draper hasn't dropped a set yet.

Also, Draper beat Zandschulp (who beat Alcaraz) while Ginepri beat Muller (who beat Roddick).

I'm a little sad because the only match left to watch this UsOpen is Sinner vs Medvedev.
The winner of that match will win the title by beating Draper - Fritz/Tiafoe very convicingly. None of those matches would even be worth watching.
If I had bought tickets for the SF or F, I'd ask for money back.

Americans will enjoy watching Fritz v Tiafoe

Draper is only 22 and this is his first real season with no injury. How can you tell? He can serve and volley, play the drop shots, can power from the back of the court, has one hell of a first serve when it goes in..... he has all the tools. Oh and he has beaten Alcatraz and Sinner already. He is still learning. He is behind the top 4 but he can get closer.

Don't hype it up too much

Sinner may just bulldoze meddy tonight

Real final lol. This is qf. And meddy has 1 slam and sinner may have won 2 by end of this week.
They have 1 slam each, Medvedev took him to the limit in Australia and has been one of the best hardcourt players in the world the last 4 years. This should be a Finals quality level match in a tournament with other players left who have never even sniffed a finals. It is essentially the real final.

Im not seeing what everyone is seeing. Draper to me is a guy that can beat anyone right now including Sinner and Meddy. His hold and break numbers gives him a considerable chance at the upset

Sinner is just turned 23. 2 weeks back he was 22.

They have 1 slam each and Sinner has 16 titles and Medvedev 20

Sinner won 8 titles since Meddy won 1.

Last year by Rome , Sinner had not won a masters, reached a slam SF and had only 8 titles.

Meddy had 20 titles. He did not win another title while Sinner became number 1 despite being injured in clay season this year.

I really pity the people having tickets for the SF and the F. Tonight night session will be the best session to attend and the quality will only decrease from here. I would be crying tears of blood if I had bought tickets for SF thinking Alcaraz v Sinner and no way I could have sold them at decent price without making a loss

I don't mind seeing Draper in a USO semi, at all. Hope his body holds together (and am glad he took out that dude in straights, too).

Draper has one good run and he’s getting hyped to the moon. Sinner/meddy being underrated as usual. Especially sinner who been the best HC player in the world for over 12 months and longer.

Maybe

His numbers are good enough except on return in play win %.

He would give them as much trouble as a fritz. Nole last year demolished Fritz 6-1 6-4 6-4

If Draper somehow wins the title, then there will be threads talking about how he will win 6-7 Calendar Year Grand Slams en route to 50 slam titles for his career.

Joking aside, it was fun watching him completely destroy de Minaur today. This kid has game. Hopefully, he can stay healthy and become a threat. I enjoy his game.
