I wanted it to be Tommy but I was telling my daughter last night while watching him play Sinner that he just doesn't have a real weapon. Love watching him play, but he doesn't have something to take it from the top guys on the big stage. Fritz does if he can just not crumble. I feel like this tournament is now or never for him.

Sinner is of course the more complete, going to be a multiple slam winner, overall better player. But Tommy took all he had for two sets before finally gave up the ghost. Fritz redlining beats Tommy redlining any day and I think on the right day, he can take Sinner in a big match.

This is a weirdly relaxed match. It's like two guys out for a hit on a Sunday afternoon. Can't be too hard-charging because that would spoil the vibe. Every once in a while, one of them goes for something big just to show off a little. Then it's back to easy-does-it baselining.
