Fils ups his level just at the right time! ..at least not to loose in straights. Still a huge mountain to climb!
A very easy on the eye showman to boot. What a forehand return wide and deep, and what a set! And what a showman!
I generally still expect ADM to win, but am pulling for Fils and glad he showed some maturity and guile in coming back in set 3.
It appears soFils apparently just happy to win a set
There is a match thread for this match.Fritz being incredible aggressive with his return position... Doesn't seem like a very good idea.
I'm watching both matches at the same time, and I hate match threadsThere is a match thread for this match.
A good predictionI could genuinely see the Fritz-Zverev match be all tie breaks. Neither men look like they’ve any clue on how to deal with the other’s serve.
That is strange. First person I've seen saying this. People love specific match threads.I'm watching both matches at the same time, and I hate match threads![]()
Fritz isn't even trying. I mean nobody wants a Medvedev, but trying to return that first serve from right on the baseline seems pretty nuts. Kind of have to respect Fritz's more at the moment given Zverev is actually making his usual effort to do something.I could genuinely see the Fritz-Zverev match be all tie breaks. Dodgy but I believeDjokovic over Rune in 3 or 4 sounds about right.
Not sure about Zedzilla. He's looked shaky to me. Fritz is in great grasscourt form and could pull of the upset.
Again Zedzilla had knee issues vs Norrie - so he might not be 100%.
It's all casuals and idiot fanboy wars. Gross stuff. That is strange. First person I've seen saying this. People love specific match threads.
Let's go Alex !
What?!
That was like 10 straight 90mph forehands, Fritz had a couple go up to 97/98, and Zverev handled them off his forehand wing. Amazing.Zverev and Fritz showing us why they need to break out new balls every so often in that last break point![]()
Did you watch The game? He was useless today, lost basically every baseline duel.useless off the ground lol, dude has a big baseline game.
Against a very good baseliner, to be fair! He's pretty good for his age, experience, and size. That match point was like 30 strokes.Did you watch The game? He was useless today, lost basically every baseline duel.
Jannik is a little more ubermensch than your typical Toscano
