I'm watching both matches at the same time, and I hate match threads :D
That is strange. First person I've seen saying this. People love specific match threads.
I also don't like some match threads, I mean primarily the ones where a TOP player plays against an outsider that no one has heard of yet. Or when one member creates multiple match threads in the 1st week, which shows an attempt to grab a piece of the pie in his favor. My opinion is that match threads in 1R-4R of the GS tournaments should be the bare minimum.

I don’t mind them for early rounds, because usually the big fanbase just dominates the conversation in the main thread. For example when Novak played Fearnley that was the entire thread and people weren’t able to discuss other matches as easily.

Djokovic a lock to win today? Rune is a headcase mug. Really can’t see him pulling off an upset.

Can you believe that Djokovic is likely to get Di minaur and Fritz to get to the final of Wimbledon. That’s just pathetic. That might be the weakest draw of all time.

Well, it was supposed to be Hurkacz so he lucked out there. Not saying HH would have won, but he's not an easy out on grass when serving well.

This is why draws are so important. Sinner just lost because of his super tough draw. No way he was winning Wimbledon with that draw.
Sinner, Alcaraz and Medvedev in the same half? SERIOUSLY?

Novak meanwhile has a powder puff draw. There's no way he's not willing Wimbledon with that draw.
Novak will likely get a very exhausted finalist (Med/Alcaraz) who will have battle through multiple adversities and would have nothing left.

BAMOS!! Excited for another Alcaraz/Medvedev matchup. Doubt it'll be another route by Alcaraz this time, but should be good!!

Everyone’s been going on about Novak’s draw but he’s the only thing keeping this from being a bit of a joke of a draw for Alcaraz. Can you imagine Carlos winning another Wimbledon title with Medvedev as the single biggest threat that he faced? o_O I mean, Medvedev’s a great player, as he just proved again today, but not exactly a monster resume on the grass.

Sinner could have stood a better chance if he had worked on his physical side a bit more. Also, it is not an excuse, but the dude was literally about to faint lol.

To be honest Tiafoe and Paul is better and tougher than anyone on Novak’s half lol. But wow putting it into this perspective. Has the tour ever been weaker on grass?

It must be nice for Djokovic to have his dad create these draws. How in the world were Sinner, Medvedev and Alcaraz all on the opposite side?
What makes you think that Sinner or Medvedev are particularly difficult challenges to Novak at Wimbledon?

You can look at it that way or the other way you could look at it is Djokovic (most likely) won't have been battle tested by the final, but Alcaraz/Medvedev have. We'll see how it pans out, sometimes it doesn't work out so well to have a big step up in class of opponent in the final compared to the rest of the tournament...

Only the Big 3, Murray and Alcaraz have won Wimbledon in 20 years. It doesn’t matter who else is in your draw if you are one of those players. No one else has been any good on grass for two decades.

Musetti is proving to be an all court player and not just a clay specialist. Musta been training a lot off clay

Why doesn't he deserve it if he wins the final going through Alcaraz or Medvedev?
Agreed. If Djokovic wins the title, he deserves it. The draw he was given seems intended to get him to this point. He only has to beat either Fritz or Moose in a semifinal at Wimbledon. When will younger players step up and end the Inflation Era? Maybe one of the remaining four will defeat Djokovic and take another step in that direction. Until then, if they can't stop him...
