Sinner moves more comfortably on the surface and generates more power off the ground which is crucial even on this version of Wimbledon lawn and is a more aggressive returner, so can't see Medvedev taking more than one set. His counter-punching style was never really an asset on grass which requires a more proactive game and adjusting his deep returning position might be too challenging for his mindset especially in best of five format.

Sinner has figured out Medvedev on HC. I think it's going to be almost the same in grass.

Medvedev is gonna scratch a set at the 2nd or 3rd though.

If Sinner is beating Medvedev like a drum on hard court, there’s no way Med beats Sinner on grass. Sinner in 3

If Medvedev plays as aggressive as he did in AO final and with much more gas in the tank he can definitely win this. I like Sinner but Medvedev is my guy.
Explain their Miami encounter when Med tried everything and got his ass handed to him on hard court?

That's really the only match he got his ass handed to him by Sinner. Every other match since Sinner improved has been close and won by small margins.

Good luck believing a guy who has not won a title in 12 months is defeating the best player in the world and stands so far behind the baseline, expecting him to win, when to succeed on grass you need great first strike tennis

Sinner is in for a rude awakening mate. Check Meds pressconference yesterday.

Will be really interesting to see, if Medvedev actually does that with a full tank - I mean in Australia he knew there was no other way.

I‘m guess it will be a close one but say Sinner in 5 or maybe 4, because he‘s better suited to the surface and he‘s the in form player of the season. Apart from that, when judging their AO meeting one should still take into consideration that it was Sinner‘s first slam final and then he faces a completely different Medvedev than the one he‘s used to.

Why was this post so far down the damn list? I created one wondering why nobody made one.

Wait I voted on this earlier today. I think I need to put down the wine bottle.

Don't you want Sinner to be Djokovic's opponent in the Wimbledon final?

This will be surprisingly lopsided. Medvedev has no weapons that can hurt Sinner on grass, very difficult to "Octopus" your way to wins against top guys at Wimbledon.

Maybe, but I will be interested to see. I think both guys will be pretty focused.

Sonic is the #1 and the clear favorite in this one - and to win Wimbledon this year I might add. However, I can´t deny that I wouldn´t mind to enjoy the kind of sardonic pleasure in case MadMed does it. Sonic in 4 or the Russian in 5.

I can't control who will be in the final. I just have a gut feeling Medvedev will win this one as he has lost so many close ones vs sinner lately. They always play eachother close and this time will be no different.
