Maybe but the old guard still has a punchers chance. He would make him earn it for sure.
Yeah Nole will make him pay if he has lapses like he did in Cincinnati but I think it the match will be on Alcaraz's racquet. Too much raw power and enough variety and he isn't afraid of Nole.

I

Yup but fed had his chance that’s what i am saying. If only he had taken a couple more of seconds to set up serve when he was up 40-15. Anything is possible with novak coming up with a surprise for Alcaraz.

Fed is an instinct based player , he will never play against his instinct , same goes for Carlos.

If Alcaraz carries on the way he played last 2.5 sets , then cannot see anyone stopping him. Even if you look at last 20 years it would take a peak Roger or Novak to have a decent shot.

Novak is not the player he was a year or two ago and should he reach final, will need to rely on experience and a game plan to have a good shot.

Fred would roll that kid.

With the way Ferrero is coaching anything is possible.

Yeah, really don't think he's a good fit. All JCF did was run and hit FHs, that was his gameplan basically. Granted he was great at it but guys like Becker, Edberg or Paul Annacone (who's with Fritz now I think?) would be a much better fit.

Becker would be a clear no in my book, heavily overrated and a phrasemonger. JCF has brought him to where he’s at, 3 slams in his bag with 21 years. While seeing JCF critical myself, I think now is not the time for a coaching change

Tbh anyone who can instill some tactical awareness in him would suffice. Carlos has been saying same raw tennis since last 2 years and hasn't improved on his tactical awareness.

Alcaraz hit some pretty good form in those last 2 sets. That's what he needs to carry on.

JCF did that tho, there’s plenty of interviews in which JCF is outlining the tactical changes he wants in Raz’ game. First time it really worked was in IW against Sinner from set 2 on
