Alright folks, here we go.
Its the 4th overall clash between the two, with Sinner leading the H2H 2-1, who's also won both of their latest matches, at Indian wellls 2024 & Vienna 2023.

Shelton has won 3 five setters in a row from Round 1 to 3 while Sinner has cruised through Round 1 & 3, with a tight match against Berretini in between in Round 2.

What's your prediction?

I think it's gonna be Sinner in 4. Sinner is going to disconnect on a silly game and get breaken, while Shelton will manage to be clutch in that game. For the rest, Shelton serve is going to be inconsistent and Sinner is going to find the way to attack and it's going to be too much for Ben.

Does Shelton still do that annoying hang up the phone thing? Not that I'd expect to see him doing it at the end of this match anyway. Sinner in straights.

Not fare that lower ranked player have to play consecutive days because of his match getting postponed

Unless Shelton serves at the upper bound of his ability, he’s going to get demolished here. Return, movement, shot tolerance – all of it will be ruthlessly torn apart by Jannik. If the American trees on serve, maybe he keeps it tight, even steals a set, but most likely Sinner in three fairly breezy ones.

It ends here for you Ben. Jannik gonna hang the phone up in 3 sets. Hoping for a long match but I think this is a bad matchup for Shelton.

I agree with others that Shelton would have to be "on" in a way he's never been before - serve and groundies and volleys - just not missing. I can't see it happening. I do think he should just throw caution to the wind and try to get the upper hand it points quickly. Go for a little bit more on first and second serve, go for some more risky (but not crazy) ground strokes to open up the point, accept that there will be plenty of errors, and let the chips fall. He's certainly not going to grind a la Medvedev and get Sinner to hit errors, and I think he's way too tired to consistently and successfully turn defense into offense - that's not his game even when fresh. Sinner in 3.

Shame Shelton had to play 5 sets of singles today and 2 sets of doubles, while Sinner was resting. In a way the non roof era was more fair(since everyone usually got screwed back then), now only 3 or 4 guys get to stay on schedule in the first week while everyone else gets screwed.

On the flip side, Shelton probably has a better chance on grass against Sinner than he does anywhere else, no?

It depends on how quickly Sinner figures out to handle hard serves and ground strokes of lefties on grass. If he does that quickly enough, the same pattern will repeat on a lot of points and Sinner wins in 3. If Sinner has difficult time to figure out, it will be a thrilling 5-setter.
