Shelton does have a big serve and it CAN bother people, and he DOES have hot serving days, but I'm not sure it's as consistently problematic as initially advertised.

Just tuned in and Sinner already a set and a break up? Shelton been poor or just simply not good enough for Sinner?

Sinner really pressuring him - robbing him of time to the point of extreme mental stress. Shelton sort of looks checked out already, but is plugging along. With most opponents I'd say "down only a break" but I can't see Shelton breaking back at all.

Hm, Shelton's body language isn't positive. Looks like he already accepted a 3 set defeat
I think he knows he'd have to absolutely fresh to even have a chance to get a set. So while he's generally a positive, hyped up guy, the physical exhaustion and opponent has subdued that positivity.

Tiafoe, Humbert and Paul based on matchups is a tougher draw than compatriot Berrettini, Kecmanovic, Shelton and Dimitrov. Medvedev the wildcard.

I like Sinner as a person and love this rivalry between him and Alcaraz (hoping Rune will join the party next year), but his tennis increasingly bores me. Hope he induces some more variability going forward. It feels like watching the same match again and again

Lol sure! Sinner eating his serve alive is due to his leg injury lol
A left handed player with a problem with his right leg wouldn't have an issue with his serve? Are you even a serious human being? I didn't even say anything about Sinner, all credit to him, but anyone saying LOOK OUT ALCARAZ based on this match is a clown. Straight up.

where are the Shelton boosters? They are usually so loud.
I’m here monitoring but on an airplane right now

Also you can be a booster and excited fan without but insufferably stubborn as to not admit any fault of the player, Sinner is definitely better and in my opinion Ben’s form has been mediocre for the whole tournament so far. Only reason he made it this far is his BO5 match play skill advantage vs most of the tour. Was very lucky to get past a scorching Lloyd Harris. That being said I wouldn’t be surprised if he snuck to a single tiebreak

Stop watching tennis , Shelton is serving big and Sinner is returning with intrest . Without that foot pain he would have hit 200mph since 130mph is not enough to win a point against Sinner . Let's be real Shelton has nothing to hurt Sinner , take a L and move on.

He's definitely working on and improving his forecourt game. Still a work in progress though.
Yess, I saw that too. Hope he continues to add different layers to his game. Hoped he would have improved his volleys faster, feels like a little bit of stagnation. I could be wrong but it seems he goes to the net fewer times than in 2023
