Agree. Always had Rune rounding out the new big 3. Might be late to the party but I think he will get there. He has a lot of spunk and the big game attitude to challenge Novak. Novak needs to be on to progress. Of course Rune himself is highly inconsistent, but I trust him to fight this to the end. Pick him in 5 for the upset.

Rune had a tough match mentally today but not physically. Many rain breaks. Short rallies. Halys making a ton of serve winners...Rune's stamina has been better lately.
I think he will lose though.

Rune has a real chance in gthis match. He is one of the few players outside of Sinner & Alcaraz that always plays out of their skin against Novak.

Every single match they have had Rune has played his absolute A Game and i expect same here.

Novak still not 100% i think so 50-50 match. If Novak does survive then i think he will at least make S/F if not final.

Djokovic in 4 or 3. The serb won their last two matches even though he‘s not fully committed to matches outside slams any longer. And this is Wimbledon and Rune hasn‘t had a great season and he probably can‘t use the nothing-to-loose-bonus from their first few encounters anymore. He would need to play some more focused tennis and that‘s not really what he‘s able to do (yet)

How has Rune looked lately? Last year's QF against Alcaraz was a beatdown. He couldn't even defend his Munchen title this year, lost 6-0 6-2 against Struff. Was just 0-2 down against Halys. I don't think he's on the same level as he was in Paris 2022 or Rome 2023, but then again, Djokovic isn't playing his A-game either. Should be a 4 setter at least.

PS Who is playing first on the centre court? Djokovic/Rune or Zverev/Fritz? All my tennis websites are giving contradictory informations.
