Krejcikova can become the first since Barty to win both RG and Wimbledon in her career. Oddly a lot of women recently have done this: Barty, Halep, Muguruza, Sharapova, obviously Serena Williams.

Hope she does it, although Paolini would of course be an amazing story. I think Krejcikova has had the more impressive run and is a more impressive player overall, plus she has a nicer looking game.

I think I heard of her like last yr or two. She started making noise and since she looks so young a lot of people thought we were looking at a potential up and coming star

But hey, she's playing like one despite being 28. Making the finals of RG and W in the same year is very impressive even if you don't win either

I’ve been disappointed by that before but this isn’t like those finals. Barbora is former top 4 and a slam champ while Paolini is top 10 and the first woman since Serena to make French/Wimbledon finals back to back. That’s so much better than the embarrassment of Vondrousova or the pure chaos that was Raducanu v Fernandez.

I totally agree. This would be like Thiem vs Karatsev in a Slam final. Not the top tier but maybe a 2nd tier vs 3rd tier player.

I would say that even Shelton isn’t as bad in this department.

Vekic was overpowering Paolini. Krejickova however isn't a big hitter of the ball so I think a good few of the rallies will be decided by consistency, fitness and court craft as both plays like to play with variety. I don't see Paolini choking much if at all in the final. She has that happy sunshine personality to treat a slam final as an opportunity rather than a mental ordeal as many other players do on the men and women's side of the tour.

Well, looking at these draws it is pretty obvious how much more depth there is on the WTA than the ATP. I mean, I'm not surprised at all by Krejcikova being in a final ranked #31. Reason to watch that tour. Plenty of upsets. Ah, parity.

I didn’t change my bet I added one. I added 1st set being either 6-4 paolini or 6-3 krejikova. I also got a parlay of krejilova winning 2:1 and the 1st set with the 1st set being under 8.5 games. I got 4 total bets and only need for any one of them to hit to make my money back. The two parlays will pay me way more.
