I will only release the poll after the draw is announced, which is scheduled to take place on Thursday, January 9th.

Many interesting stories here - Djokovic going for title #100 and slam #25 to break the tie with Court. Teaming up with Murray whom he denied winning this title.

Alcaraz going for the career GS at an absurdly young age.

Sinner looking to cement his dominance on hard courts.

Zverev looking for his first GS title.

Medvedev, the three-time finalist, looking to stay relevant and perhaps get that second GS title.

AdM looking for a run at his home slam.

And plenty of others.

Will we see a surprise finalist?

The 2025 Australian Open, the first Slam of the season, is approaching with great expectations and a draw that promises to be spectacular in both the men's and women's tournaments. The big news is Jannik Sinner as the number 1 seed in Melbourne, while Novak Djokovic, who has slipped to number 7 in the ranking, could face an extremely complicated quarterfinal.
Remember that the main draws will be drawn on Thursday

The tournament's draw system provides that the 32 players with the best ranking are designated as seeds, guaranteeing them not to meet before the third round. From that point on, the path becomes increasingly challenging with potential high-level clashes.

In the men's draw, after Sinner, Alexander Zverev, Carlos Alcaraz and Taylor Fritz follow as the first four seeds. Djokovic's position is particularly interesting, as he could already meet one of Sinner, Alcaraz, Zverev or Fritz in the quarterfinals. Among them, the American appears on paper as the most approachable opponent.

The third round could already reserve interesting challenges with young talents like Flavio Cobolli, Tomas Machac or Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard ready to give the favorites a hard time. In the eighth finals, the first four of the seeds could find Holger Rune, Ugo Humbert, Jack Draper or Lorenzo Musetti on their path, while Djokovic could face one of Tsitsipas, Paul, Rublev and Dimitrov.

Djokovic-Alcaraz: training test match
Interesting training session between Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz, who played a practice set that ended 7-5 in favor of the Serbian. An important test for both champions who are preparing for the first Slam of the season, with Djokovic confirming himself among the main favorites.

Trying out things...
I watched the match on the Australian Open YouTube channel, I wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy, or rather, if someone wants to fall asleep, he's the one for you. :)

Jokes aside, the thing to highlight is Sinner's increasingly worked serve with the trajectories, he even made two aces with the second serve.
On the other hand, in terms of movements, he still seemed a bit packed.
I think we'll have more indications on Friday against Tsitsipas.

As we head into new slam, its so obvious who the top dog is. Jannik Sinner is over 100 ELO pts ahead of second best and third best, almost 200 pts ahead.
This is like 2016 Djokovic level of big gap. Which means, if not for some Simon like match, Sinner is heavy favorite according to ELO

I had a dream that Casper Ruud won three matches in a row with a bagel set so he’s my pick to reach the third round

Another easy qualies win (R2 over C. Wong) for The Fonz, 60 63.

Tien also had an easy R2 win, 64 62.

I’d like to see either play Egg.

What about Carlito? Fell out of love with him? I thought he was gonna be your #1 fave now that Rafa is retired.

Chainz winning would be fun though, just to see the meltdown on TTW.
Nah I love Carlos, he just already has slams. Zverev has been really hard done-by as has Medvedev losing from 2 sets up twice
