I'm going to give credit where it is due, looks like Nick will manage to avoid a full meltdown while taking his beating. I think as angry as he is he is even more afraid of giving his many haters like myself more ammo to troll him with.

Dimitrov with a MTO after losing the first set to a lucky loser.

Fognini was a last minute withdrawal and Passaro got in. He's up 7-5.

Dimitrov will be retiring soon.

Has the Social Media Attention Clown already left the Circus on John Cain Arena ? Cannot get myself to watch it

A few interesting (to me) items about what’s going on.
When Djokovic went up 5-3 they had a closeup on that guy I swore was either a Djokovic brother or a Djokovic cousin. I think he looks so much like Novak but he’s actually South American?? Correct?

Second, Rajeev Ram is in Eddys box. The only reason that stands out to me is that Rajeev ( to this day) lives in my home state just north of my hometown of Indianapolis.
Anyone who knows much about Indy or central Indiana,,, it’s by no means a city trying to woo you with an arts scene or much beauty of any kind. No real sense of community. Just a place that hosts a lot of sporting events. And has summers so agonizingly humid it’s just…

However, people who live in Indy will always laugh because people who live in Carmel or Fishers Indiana think they’re better than anyone in the whole state. Eubanks said every time “He joined (his coach) and Ram in Carmel, Indiana.”
When you meet someone new in Indiana and they live in Carmel… that’s the first thing they’ll say. “Nice to meet you. I’m from Carmel.”

Carmel and Fishers are the richest neighborhoods in the entire state. It’s like the Hamptons address of Indiana. My ice rink downtown moved to Carmel so that folks in Carmel wouldn’t have to drive downtown to train in that sport.

Honestly, I don’t know why any ATP pro would live in Indiana. But if they were going to surprise surprise. From Carmel and so much so Eubanks even made sure to mention it twice.
Ok. Geography lesson over

Eurosport commentators wondering if B03 is a good idea for first week of slams and Henman saying he's hard against it but thinks the game should be sped up by keeping the shot clock at 25seconds but have the timer start exactly when the point ends, not this delay some umpires seem to do.

Gotta say, I agree entirely with him.

I’m not shocked Eddy is playing out of his shoes and now cramping. Novak requires this. Putting your body past the limits.
Apparently, Eddy is known for his fitness. Playing lots of college and challenger tennis. I wonder how many times he’s ever cramped in a match?

It’s nerves. You’re playing Novak on Rod Laver in your second ever ATP pro event and up a set!!! Your heart rate must be 150+ the whole time.
Just shows the kind of mental gymnastics you face just stepping out on the same court with Nole.

It's so cute the Aussie crowd thought Kyrgios had a chance cause he got one break and a hold of serve lol.

Fearnley snuffed that out, holds and it's 4-4. Hope he breaks now to serve for it.

What happened to Grigor?
Poor injury, same one from Brisbane. Was very clear he was going to retire, he tried to fight on but was too much.

Passaro is so lucky, Fognini should've hung in the draw and he wouldn't have had to do much to get the win. Instead his countryman Passaro gets his first ever slam victory.

That and turn the clock back on for second serves.

I think Novak is also his tennis idol, which is another level of nerves.
