Zverev barring one of his usual chokes. He's much better than Alcaraz currently and i don't see Djokovic having amazing mobility after such a taxing match.

It's a little surprising that Zverev and Djokovic have not played for about a year-and-a-half (Cincinnati 2023). And not at all in 2022. So of their 12 total matches, 11 are from 2021 and earlier.

It will be tough for Novak as Zverev on fire and this likely to be the day match. This gives Zverev a good chance.

Provided djoko is okay physically this could be a 5 setter which sinner will love. Hard to call this one. They tend to have close matches

Novak in an easy 3 sets. Won’t be surprised if he pulls of the CYGS this year - still a beast physically and his game is as good as ever. What’s to say he won’t be winning slams even at 45?

Underestimate Z at your own peril. He's always at his most dangerous when nobody expects anything of him (then chokes when he's in a final with all the eyes on him, lol)

If both play well, due to the circumstances of the match, I could easily see Zedzilla pulling it off in a very tight match. At the same time he could enter his mental midget self and get destroyed.

Ironically I think Djokovic in 3 vs Z in 4 are the 2 most probable outcomes.

I honestly don't know who to pick here, but I will pick Novak just because I want that big revenge match. Djokovic in 5.

I don't trust Djokovic in multiple 5-set matches anymore, so I still believe Zverev and especially Sinner have the advantage over him in the SF and potential Final.

Zed in 5? I suppose he might have a slight fitness advantage given Novak’s apparent groin niggle, but the guy just crumbles against elite opposition in the fifth. He’s won one fifth set in the semis or finals of a slam and that was against frigging PCB. I believe he’s defeated just one top-10 player in a fifth set in his entire career as well but I’d have to doublecheck. If it goes 5, bet your mortgage on Djokovic.

Djokovic in 4. Zverev is in good form, but I think Djokovic has the mental edge. And judging from what I saw from Djokovic's return, it should be ready for Zverev - not saying it'll be as effective at all, but it should get enough balls back in play.
I pick Zed in 5, his serve would be the deciding factor.

Maybe 4 is better, the general idea was "I think it's likely the match is either a close Z victory or easy Nole one (depending on the mental state Z enters the match with) rather than precise set counts

Novak in 4 hopefully.
#25 might be in the cards if he could keep this level but at 37 , nothing's certain.

Yoko in 3. Zed isn't a threat in slams, and he certainly won't beat Yoko in a semi final on RLA.

I was right in the last one like always. So I will be right in this one. Z in 4.
I feel Zverev needs to win this faster. As his stamina isn’t as good as Djokovic due to his diabetic condition. Zverev has the firepower to win but depends if he can execute and keep the errors down. Hopefully Djokovic is okay physically for this one.

Djokovic needs to play solid again have his serve and return on point again. It should be a fun and close match.

I just think it will be hard for Djoker to maintain a high level and I feel like Zverev will lock down a bit and stay calm.

All that said, that is what SHOULD happen lol.

Djokovic at the first opportunity tries to mock Zverev by reminding him that he is a strangler at major level, that he has never beaten him in a slam, the world is wondering when he will win his first, etc.
All strategy aimed at destabilizing the weak psyche of the German.

But in which session do you think they will schedule this match?

In theory in the afternoon session since the players of the other semifinal will have 24 hours less to recover, but in practice I don't know considering that it is the most noble semifinal with Djokovic in the middle.

Sinner vs no name will likely be day session but if it's not then it is what it is.

Nole would definitely love the night session with more recovery and see if he can stop zverev.
