I think Swiatek would prefer to face Keys than Svitolina given the last slam match at Wimbledon in 2023 Iga completely blew it and lost to the Ukranian!

svitolina's game matches up well against keys. svitolina can take advantage of her inconsistency. madison can overpower her but not sure she can do that the whole match without making too many errors

I feel for Rybakina but Vukov is a freak who needs to stay away from her but you can only help someone who wants to be helped.

If Rybakina doesn’t get rid of him, she’s going to just continue with the way she’s been going unfortunately.
Agreed. Rybakina is not going to win another major until she gets rid of Vukoc.

Hopefully not. A cheating player like Swiatek does not need to be rewarded for her PED use.
That's total nonsense. Stop spreading lies. The sleep medication Iga took was proven beyond any doubt to have been contaminated in the factory. How do you explain unopened vials of the sleep medication containing the substance she tested positive for?

On a different note, Andreeva and Schnaider take out Sorribes Tormo and Rakhimova by winning the last 10 games after going to 2-3 in the first set.

Do they have abbreviated set breaks now at the A.O.?
I could swear the break lasted only a minute!

Players used to go for toilet breaks etc. etc. At least five minutes.

I haven't gotten the chance to watch as many matches, but based on the few I have seen, I think the women's draw has been better than then men's this year. (And the men's draw has been epic!)

Oh OK. I thought the set break was always a certain length of time and players just asked if they would have enough time
for a toilet/change break.
yeah there is a certain length of time between sets. i think it's like 2 minutes, but players can extend it if one of them requests a toilet/ change break.

keys getting on another roll hopefully she can finish it

Keys is inspiring me. Maybe the tennis gods will give her this slam.

Which I have been on these boards forever. And there is someone on this board who hates every player I swear.

But I have to say never really see anyone hate on Keys.
I've seen TTers go in on her for being error prone in some big matches when it counts most, but it's hard to truly hate on Keys. She always seems down to earth and delightful.

12 months ago Madi was battling injuries and missed the AO and didn't start her year til Indian Wells.

Now she's a champ in Adelaide and into the SF in Melbourne.

9 match winning streak. Will be a tough one against Swiatek or Navarro.

Congrats to Keys for a great match. She was killer at the net. At one point late, she was 22/24 from the net.

As for Swiatek, she’s playing goat-level tennis this tourney. Her point construction is flawless. She definitely improved during the off-season. I don’t see how she can be beaten, unless Sabalenka redlines. I will be shocked if Navarro get more than 3 games this match.

This is so good by both ladies.

Both are like energizer bunnies running and rallying eachother.

Iga just the better player and has break point.
