did you guys notice on one of the points in Osaka match where ball was shown on hawkeye to be 1/10 of inch on the line.. But then when they showed sideline Replay video,, you can clearly see that ball was about 1/2 inch OUT. and Osaka was visibly upset , of course.... Just how often does the electronic linecalling machines make mistakes ??

Come on Mirra, don't give this girl even a whiff of confidence!
She'll lull you to sleep and then the next thing you know bam she's right back in it.
Did you watch the Linette match?
Uchi is a pesky little player with unreliable technique.
You should be bossing her right off the court!
I think Mirra might be going through midlife match crisis.
If you lose this set, she'll start to get into your head like she did with Linette.
So get your act together FAST!

Not surprised to see Zheng struggle.

Didn't play a warm up tournament and to be honest (and i'll probably get some flak), the reason she made the final here last year was her draw was so damn easy. Second player in history not to face a seed until the final and she still got smoked by Sabalenka.

She's since really upped her game clearly but I wasn't overly impressed with that run last year.

5-2 Siegemund. Weird, Zheng looks so uncomfortable on court. That last point is a good example. It was so easy to see that she was out of position and that shot needed to be a winner.. still she doesn’t seem to realize that and hands an easy passing shot winner to her opponent.

Naomi down a break early
What happened to her? Asking as someone who has been out of the loop for awhile. I know she's always been sort of an enigma. Her career is really weird. Practically no good results outside her four major titles. No other appearances past the 4th round at majors and just the two WTA 1000 titles + two finals.

Uchi doesn't have much game. She just grinds you down to a pulp.
Let's see what you're made of now Mirra?
4-5. You must break now.

Zheng is just another "big hitter" typical of the WTA. She expects everyone to be overwhelmed and has no idea how to respond when things aren't going her way other than to become angry and keep doing the exact same thing. Couldn't be happier that Siegemund de-Zhenged the draw.

I have no issue with ESPN2 showing a WTA match coming off of us sitting through that basketball game in Lexington, Kentucky.
But why this one?

Are they trying to turn Andreeva into the next Kournikova/Sharapova or something? No one wants to watch this tiebreak Osaka and Muchova on court right now and we have to watch these two WTA Players..
Agenda Agenda Agenda. The WTA is so desperate to have the next beauty queen.

Saw the last few points of the Mirra match. Pretty shocking lack of power, zero penetration, or at least that's how it looked from the feed. Just fatigue?

Edit: oh wow! Ten point tiebreak, totally forgot. Lol. Congrats Mirra! It did not look like she was going to tough this out.

ESPN+ and you can control your own destiny.

Good Lord!
Way too much see-sawing for me, thank you.
Too many frayed nerves.
I don't know what to say about Mirra now.
But if she thought this match was tough, she is going to have her hands full with Frech next round.
