Barcelona Open draw is announced and qualifying matches have completed. In addition to the already confirmed Pablo Carreño, finalist in the 2022 edition, and Stanislas Wawrinka, semi-finalist in 2006 and 2008, Albert Ramos has been added to the list.

Musetti and Machac have already withdrawn from the open after MC campaign.

Projected QF
Alcaraz vs ADM
Tsitsipas vs Fils

Rublev vs Munnar
Rune vs Ruud

Is that the most lopsided draw you've ever seen? Looks like all the qualifiers are in the bottom half

Heh,heh, enjoyed your reference in the poll to "Rublev lol". He may surprise you and win it!

Korda just served out the match with Arnaldi. Looking forward to the GMP / Medjedovic.

Nice! Sebi K bounces back after an early loss last week.

I am curious who has the upper hand on clay in that second match. Neither is a great mover, although they are for their size.

Ramos-Vonolas is old and slow, but he sure has some easy power on the forehand. He does hit most of them out today. Looks like a somewhat easy second set without in any way showing anything positive except a few very nice droppers. Backhand looks moderately solid, though.

GMP was beaten in 2 close sets. Can't put my finger on it, but both dudes are a bit odd in their different ways. It's been a loooong day - this is as articulate as I can get!

Ok, Holger wins. Rublev is like a steam train right now. Killing it with the forehand. 6-1 first set.
Yah man, Rublev meant business. Pleased to see Holger through.

Tomorrow's schedule looks interesting, including Fils / Carreno, Tsitsipas/Opelka, Wawrinka / Davidovich. Carlitos, Ruud, ADM and Tiafoe are also playing.

Alcaraz will hit the court in TWO and a HALF hours from now (y) at the earliest (y)
Alcaraz is scheduled to play at 4pm Barcelona time (y) and the current time is 1:30pm (y)

Hey man. Are you by any remote chance pleased that Carlitos will play soon? Hard to tell. :)

ADM/Fils/Tsitsipas/Ruud/ Baez all through in straights, Djere needed 3. Note that Tiafoe is up a break - but perhaps more significant, he turned up in his vest. Could have been worse - a string vest, so one must be grateful for small mercies.

Tsitsipas is quickly getting into form. Second highest games won on clay in 2025 (4 matches)

4-6 6-4 6-2 6-1 6-1 6-1 3-6 4-6 6-2 6-2

Sf projected vs ruud.

Tsitsipas may never win Roland Garros :cautious: but he'll always be a couple of tiers higher than Sinner on clay (y)

Set point Quinn.

Alcaraz has missed so many forehands
Yah man, it was like pulling teeth in the tb, after getting broken serve at 65. A straights set win for Carlitos, but given an excellent challenge by Quinn. Dude hasn't had time to rest after the final at MC on Sunday - said in the courtside interview that he travelled back yesterday and couldn't practice here yet. I've not watch EQ play before, liked his attitude and skills, and if he stays fit, I suspect he'll be making his presence felt on the tour.

Note that Munar beat Tiafoe, and by a breadstick in the 3rd. When I was watching the first set, FT was dominating. I think there were 5 Americans in the main draw, Nakashima / Korda/ Okelpa/ Tiafoe / Quinn, of which only Korda remains. Tsitsipas through convincingly against the giant- will he find better form here?

Aww, you want another super easy draw like Monte Carlo? Hopefully he does get ADM, and we get a look at the final we should have enjoyed.
I like tough draws but only at masters and slams (y)
I don't like him using up maximum energy at an atp500, so I prefer easy draws for atp500 (y)

Holger getting a lesson in clay tennis from Baez right now. Holges has no chance staying behind. Needs to get on the offensive to win this. Probably won't do it.
