A truly incalculable loss. She would have gotten the paddle out quite a few times by now.
Maybe we can request an Easter resurrection of the @BeatlesFan account? I asked the mods about reinstating her account, and the gist of the response was "we hear your feedback, and we are working on some updates" (to the moderation policies, I assume). That was five months ago though.

This Rune who after losing the first set with Baez crushed Baez himself and then Ruud and Khachanov, is he scary in view of Roland Garros?

Clay has always been the surface on which he expresses himself best.
No worries, sinner beat him even on slowest clay. Rune will not change Sineraz dynamic a lot.

Wow, Rune today and yesterday is very close to his best level. Followed him a lot and do not think I have ever seen him time the ball so well. Crazy level, will be a threat at French Open if he keeps up. Let's see tomorrow against Alcaraz or Fils if he can sustain it.
So inconsistent level. Is he the new Kyrgios?

Good to see him back! Ruud was bad, though.

Looks like Rune totally exposed Khachanov's sub-par movement with the droppers. Rune is an elite mover but I still think his forehand is very average.

Why did no one tell me Fils hit the ball so hard? Damn

Anyway, atrocious service game
I brained it yesterday !!
I haven't seen Fils play enough to know his level of consistency  but traditionally players who hit as hard as Fils are prone to making a lot of errors :p so there might be a higher than usual chance of Alcaraz receiving an easy win against a dangerous opponent :giggle: or easier than their previous meeting !!

I think I'm getting old.

I turn on the TV and see it's Alcaraz-Fils and I thought "I bet this will be good, I wonder how they match up against each other?" Only for Tennis Channel to immediately show a clip of them playing in Monte-Carlo a week ago that I'd already forgotten about.
join the club! :)

Alcaraz's most solid match so far in 2025.
He is in control of the rally while Fils on the contrary knows no middle ground.
The world turned upside down.
I think the word "middle" describes Fils very well.

I'd love to see it, but it'll never happen. He's not going to skip a home country Masters 1000.

How many times did fans beg Rafa to do the same and he never did, even in his old age. Alcaraz isn't skipping it at 21.
It tells a lot if he can't physically handle another BO3 tournament at age 21.
