Looks as if it the line is available for purchase on Head's website currently. Shipping time says 3-5 days.

I’m likely in the minority, but I favour HEAD’s satin matte finish over any other type. It glides well, unlike a gloss finish which gets sticky from surface tension when there’s moisture. As a OHBH player whose off-hand is on the yoke, surface feel of the paintwork matters.

The worst paintwork are those rubbery matte finishes which become sticky and gummy over time. Gloss looks nice, but it’s sticky when moist and a fingerprint magnet, and most tennis players never seem to wipe down their rackets ever.

Yeah I kind of like it. Not many (can't think of any off the top of my head) predominantly red racquets these days. Or is it orange?

So, 1 RA up and a paint job. Thats it?

SW on pro is up

it’s not like specs every change drastically on a model anyway. Might be a minor tweak in feel might be a big enough one to warrant an upgrade/switch.

You would likely get more people upset than happy if they switched things up a lot

Look Yonex, changing something every cycle and people are buying like crazy.
The Extreme and Radical lines are exactly the same from 2021 except from the "Auxetic". I mean why bother buying the new ones, just get the old ones on sale...same racquet.

I don’t think Yonex’s changes are that dramatic either. They usually change the VDM/Servo Filter/Minolon marketing to change the feel and give the impression of groundbreaking technology

Auxetic 2.0 is also just a feel change and a less aggressive marketing rebrand. Aux1 was well received pretty much across the board. When consumer is used to and expects a 2 year life cycle and you don’t want to ruin the rackets that were successful, you make minor more conservative changes

I haven't hit with a Radical in a few years but the MP specs are kind of intriguing as I assume the Aux 2 will counter the 66 RA making it feel fairly comfortable for a frame bordering on stiff.

I strung mine up with Element 1.25 at 46lbs

will see how it is. last time i briefly hit with the Aux 1 MP with hawk touch 52 and i found it very firm

I might try an MP Radical. I tried the radical pro 2021 for a few months last but found it was missing something for me. I did try the 2023 radical pro but didn't enjoy it as much as the 2021. I have recently picked a MP 2021 as feel the slightly lower swing weight may offer a different option. It's still a 98" which I like. This new auxetic 2.0 looks more similar to the 2021 with the bright colours back. I don't like it as much on the pics but when I saw some players with this paint at the Nottingham Challenger last month it looked pretty cool.

2021 radical pro is awesome. Graphene 360+ line in general is amazing in general.

Yes, the 360+ line is very nice overall. The Radical pro 2021 was a good racket, I just tried moving over from prestige frames but found it whilst it was definitely more powerful it was missing something for me. The Speed Pro 360+ hit well but lacked feel and touch for me, the radical was a bit better in that regard. The 24 Boom pro felt like a nice update when it tried that so will be interested to hit with a new version Radical but expect similar to what we have had before, maybe a mix between the 23 & 21 versions, the layup on the 21 was great though, whereas for me 23 wasn't as nice.

I am looking forward to the release of the new radical mp. My current main stick is the 2023 radical mp and prior to that I used the previous iteration of the radical.
I recently demoed the head GT98 from TW and really liked it. My opponents and regular hitting partners said I was hitting a heavier ball with the GT98 than with the 2023 radical mp. I’m leaning towards switching to the head GT98 but I am going to hold off on any switch until I can give the new radical MP a try.

Hey, what string for gt98?

I believe the demo I got from TW was strung with Luxilon ALU power which was surprising to me. I assumed it would of been strung with a head poly

To keep it brief I don’t think this is a worthy switch for 2023 Radical users unless you love the PJ or you want a more muted feel

That being said I’m maining the GT and I hit a much heavier ball than with the 2025 Rad pro but the radical gives me much more directional aggression that fits my game a little better. Radical is less forgiving and doesn’t feel as nice as the GT but it’s definitely more precise

Is the current general stance
The '21, '23, '25 radical pros are essentially interchangable/pick your favorite paint job?

All 3 have the same mold, and the layup differences are minor/personal preference?

i hope to try radical pro. I actually like the pj!
Didn’t like the previous one (too hollow in feel with a bit too much power-this little trampoline effect or not enough spin).

Same racket as the previous version with an extremely orange paintjob. That's all I see. Not even worth a demo.
The paint job has been the biggest selling point over here. People that shouldn’t be using the radical have been asking me to try it and borrow it

The aux 2 makes it a little more dampened so it reduces that feeling of stiffness a tad which I think actually works nicely in the radical. Aux 2 I think removed connection with the ball in the extreme pro and speed series

But generally if you’re using the Aux 1 or G360+ radical there’s prob little reason to get this one unless you love the PJ. If you’re new to radicals this is worth a try for sure. This will most likely be what I use coming from gravity tour. I cannot sustain stringing my rackets 3-4 times a week especially when summer comes around

The feel of any Gravity cannot be compared with the Aux 2.0 Radical. The GT98 has a nice feedback, connection to the ball, plushness. The radical is very muted and disconnected like the speed. Many people love that feeling. I prefer the Gravity and Prestige connection.

That said, the 2.0 Radical Pro is a nice frame and I like the PJ. The MP would need some weight to be closer to the way I like it.

its interesting the guys using the modern radical like Arnaldi (307) Cobolli (351) etc... are using the MP stock weighted and balanced to their specs rather than the pro

The feel is why I’d love to stay with the gravity tour but even with 1.30 Lynx tour I’m barely getting an hour or just under before they break. It’s not sustainable cost wise and time wise

But I feel like that directional precision on the the radical pro is a nice plus I don’t have with the gravity tour. But GT I can aim for high percentage targets with a lot more confidence

When we tested the GT98 back in November 2023, I could not break strings at all. I’d cut them out and replace.
But now I experience the crosses breakage quite quickly with the GT98. I keep restringing the crosses (poly) only while keeping the mains (gut) longer.

Can anyone comment on this new radical pro in comparison to the 2021 rad pro graphene+. Just hit a demo of this current rad pro and really like it so far but i notice TW has the 2021 version on sale so I'm naturally wondering if they are really that different? Anyhow I'll keep testing this one and see how it goes.

The 360+ are nicer feeling frames than the Auxetic so if the price is considerably less I would go for it. It's a great frame of you like the weight and handling of the current pro version. If anything it will be an upgrade layup wise on feel but maybe slightly less put away power. Depends which you are after more.

Yeah not a lot has changed overall—same spacing, balance, and similar flex. Slightly bigger sweet spot with the Auxetic. Biggest difference is feel. I preferred the 360+ feel but my arm prefers the Auxetic. Some people don't like it at all but it's fine for me. Just means I need to be careful with strings. But yeah, similar rackets. If you want to buy new, the past gens are a great deal.

The radical are crisp frames and Auxetic 2.0 makes them feel softer on the arm than the 360+.
Same string pattern and same mold.
