18 wins in a row and 3 titles in a row.

5th title this season.

Hopefully Alcaraz can 3 peat at Wimbledon.
How many titles can Carlos win this season?

He'd have to break Sinner's stranglehold on the second half of the season if he wants to reach double figures. He's half-way there though.

:-D

Kinda respect their optimism, though. Sinner could get double-bageled seven matches in a row and @dking68 would still be calling for a calendar slam.
I mean, Sinner had RG on his racket. Up until the 3 match points that he generated, Alcaraz looked vividly hopeless and stood like a statue when Sinner was blowing winners past him. Sinner has only himself to blame

On a crucially important note, with HSBC taking over as the tournament sponsor this year, it has been a delight to see the return of red ads around the court at Queen's, for the first time since 2008. The blue or purple ads from 2009-2024, didn't look anywhere near as visually pleasing IMO.

It makes me feel like I'm back in the pub garden that was the Stella Artois championship.

In winning 2025 Queens, Alcaraz has:

1. Become only the 2nd Spanish player to win multiple titles at Queen's (along with Lopez).
2. Become only the 3rd active player to win multiple titles at Queen's (along with Cilic and Berrettini).
3. Won his 5th ATP singles title of the season and 2nd at 500 level.
4. Won his 21st singles ATP title placing him joint 3rd on the leaderboard of active players with titles (along with Cilic).

In reaching the final of 2025 Queen's, Lehecka became only the 2nd Czech player to do so (after Lendl).

5. Became the first player to win on the newly named Andy Murray arena (male player) LOL

Exactly. Up to 2008 the tournament had a summer beer garden vibe, and then from 2009 it seemed more boring and stuffy.

Now I appreciate that HSBC is not exactly the same as Stella, but at least with the red background back, it feels like that some of that old vibe has also returned as well.

Yes, the red background reminded me too of the good old days of Stella Artois. :)
