Safin will add nothing to Rublev game anyway. The game is super simple and both Safin and Rublev are headcases so even mental edge is absent.

Sinner has a tell on the serve... he usually spins the racket "outwards" but when he he then spins "inward" it's a serve out wide on the deuce court.

Jannik Sinner will do very well in RG over his career for 1 simple reason.
His game is not very taxing on the body.

For a player like Djokovic/Murray/Ferrer , it was too taxing as they had to play long rallies to win. But Sinner matches are superfast. Like Federer/

@Djokovic_is_the_best#1 Sinner has a real shot at this tournament. If he makes the final without dropping a set, and Carlos makes it, it will plant a seed of doubt in his head. Added to the fact that Sinner was laid off for 3.5 months and Alcaraz is the supposed heir to Nadal on clay. He has much more to lose in the final

Sinner impressed with a dominant performance but Rublev kept some honor by raising his game in the third. Sinner looking good - hoping Bublik brings all he has got for the next match.

Have a good one y'all!

No doubt. Sinner is doing everything right he just got to keep going and he has a real shot. This level of tennis is difficult for anyone to live with even for alcaraz.

3 players have made it to the quarters without dropping a set:

Sinner: 12-0 in sets, lost 30 games
Djokovic: 12-0 in sets, lost 36 games
Tiafoe: 12-0 in sets, lost 47 games.

Sinner has played lights-out so far. The world wants to see a Djoker/Sinner semi. We are only 1 step away now.

Djokovic has blisters on his foot. I am not sure if he is fresh either post Geneva. But let's see.

Sinners competition is way harder too

Rublev is a ball-basher and is tailor made for Sinner. Alcaraz is the guy that can throw him off from the baseline with variety and draw him in. You’re not going ball bash Sinner from the baseline.

I’m hopeful for two things. One, I would love to see Sinner give Djokovic a beating and retire him for good so we don’t have to see him anymore. Two, I want to see Alcaraz throw Sinner’s one dimensional game into a tailspin with drop shots galore and slice.

It only alcaraz he has a problem with. I wouldn’t include Djokovic in that considering he won last 3 meetings in a row. If they play here it tells us more though.
True but he didn't have to beat Djokovic in his last two slam wins or Alcaraz. He's full marks for winning those slams and he's a worthy #1 based on his high level consistency but, lets be honest, he had friendly paths in both.

He beat Djokovic easily in Australia 24. Djokovic couldn’t reach him last 2 slams and wouldn’t have beat him. The question is can Djokovic now hang with this sinner? It will be very difficult even on natural surfaces now.

Yeah but I was talking about the last two slams.
I would bet on Sinner to beat Djokovic if they met, not guaranteeing a Djokovic win over Zverev, but Djokovic appears healthy now and a healthy Djokovic is still a handful for anybody, at the very least I have little doubt that he can hang with Sinner.

Brutal return stats for Sinner before hitting RG. After dominating the hold percentage last year he is for now the second-best returner on tour. Only Alcaraz was somewhat better, but against overall weaker opposition. Guess that their stats are now pretty much level after the first four rounds in Paris.

Small numbers, return to the mean, form changes and so forth, but I said the same thing last year and the stats moved up. Bublik is a very unconventional type on a tear. He should pose a (far) bigger challenge than weaker mirrors.

It should've been Davidovich Fokina, Fils, and Draper. Draw fell apart like overstuffed tacos.
Dollar tree taco shells lol

Sinner's draw up to this point looks more difficult than Novak's and Sinner is the #1 seed so that really says something.

I mean come on, Lehečka and Rublev are significantly better players than Misolic and Norrie on clay.
I never said Novak’s wasn’t a cake too lol
