Easily the most difficult quarter of the draw. Bublik in form is truly a wild card, much will depend also on the time of day...

@Rovesciarete What are your prospects on Sinner for this tournament? And what are your thoughts on his new return position

You know that already last year I have pointed out stats that show how much Sinner was undervalued on clay. Many just look at titles and not so much at raw performance.

For me Alcaraz remains the favorite as he has the biggest tank and the best movement added to his usual qualities. Sinner has been narrowing the gap nicely there.

I love the experimentation. Shows that the team is working hard and smart. A great tool in his ever growing box. Trust the process...

Could you see him winning?

Could you see him winning?

Of course, why not? For me roughly 1/3. Still many tough matches ahead, but I'm very happy with his process. Just as in life working hard and smart doesn't guarantee short term success, but it almost always does big time in the long run.

Sinner is a fantastic example of that approach to life, as we long-time followers of his career know.

Impressive from Sinner. When he plays, the court looks shrunken for the other guy and if you feed him a lot of high pace similar shots you are sure to get slaughtered. Rublev has no extra spice in his game to get around this issue.

Watched this on replay this morning.
Rubels just didn't possess the right weapons to show any damage.
The relatively infrequent flash of what was necessary in sets 2 and 3 but..

As said above, anyone who can mix it up more, be more accurate and sustain it while under the early ball barrage will have a greater chance.

Far from done Sinner deal yet.. let's see
