ATP H2H: 3-1 for Jannik

Bublik is currently experiencing the best GS event of his career, having made it to the QF for the first time after remarkable wins over de Minaur (Bublik turned match from a deficit 0-2 to sets) and Draper. Now he faces the world number one and winner of the last two Grand Slams. How will Bublik handle this challenge?

I think Bublik will do everything he can to make this fun, but surely we have to expect Sinner to be able to overcome anything he can throw at him.

If he can play anywhere near the level he sustained against Draper for the last 3 sets of the QF, surely he can trouble Sinner too.
One can hope

If Bublik finds some of the level he showed against Draper, I'd assume he can trouble Sinner a bit. I think the italian isn't so comfortable facing more unpredictable tennis and if Bublik can execute, I think he may win a set but probably not much more.

Sinner has been routinely excellent. He’s dropped only 30 games in 4 matches.

Sinner will win 6-4, 6-3, 6-4.

But Rinderkchoke was up 4-0 and then 5-2 in the 3rd set. Sinner has only met mugs and non clay specialists since then. Rublev has been losing to literally everybody this year, I take this match with a grain of salt.

Not that I think Bublik can trouble him but Zverev/Djokovic/Alcaraz surely can.

I think the first set will tell us everything. Bublik will either show up ready for a fight or he’ll go down tamely and pull a classic Bublik tank job.
yeah you could see in the draper match even though he lost the first set, bublik was there competing throughout and he stayed locked in even after dropping the set

Hard to see anything but a straight-sets Sinner beatdown. With Sinner's court positioning and depth, Bublik will have a harder time hitting so many tasty drop shots and Sinner will have an easier time running them down than Draper did. The Sinner return will likely also eat up Bublik's serve, unless he's really, really on. I think very early on in the match Bublik will start pressing and make loads of errors.

Oh, looks like it's already on. Nice.

this is the problem with big prize money for just showing up. What incentive is there now truly for these kids? Just showing up to MUG it up means a big enough pay day

Problem with current Big3 (2), is pretty much the same as with the former late Big3. The gap to the rest is too big, we miss the Stans, Murrays & Delpos...

They will come. In 05 and 06 there didn't really seem like there would be anyone to challenge the Fedal duopoly, but that quickly changed with Novak's rise in 2007, and then by 2009 you had Murray and Del Potro in the mix as well.

I can't wath this match so I'm just checking the results every once in a while and wow, Google uses the absolutely worst picture of Bublik ever
