Alcaraz is the favorite no doubt. But will him having more to lose in a potential final with Sinner affect his play?
I weirdly don’t think either are particularly good big Slam match players. They’re better than almost everyone they play so this is rarely exposed, but when not playing Rublev/Paul-tier players they are both prone to mistakes and physical lapses.

Even the best players have been absolutely beaten down in the past. That's the point. When it's Djokovic, it merits dissection somehow and when it's Paul it's different.

Come on don’t insult everyone’s intelligence with that false equivalency. When Djokovic gets steamrolled, it’s newsworthy because he’s Djokovic. The standard. The benchmark. It demands analysis. When Paul gets bodied, there’s nothing to analyze. He’s a chump, end of story. Trying to draw a parallel is just crazy.

But nevertheless, I'll worry every time Alcaraz plays because we never really know which Alcaraz' shows up!
True. I understand that as you a big fan.

I’m a Novak fan but still love watching Alcaraz play. He has dips but he manages them well.

He tends to peak at right times especially on clay/grass. I think he gets to final and has a tough game but it looking good for him to win this slam in my view. He’s a joy to watch too.

Cause the Rome final, was one of the worst finals I have ever seen tbh. The first set, despite being close was **** poor. A lot is gonna be on the line for both players but Alcaraz will have a lot of external pressure while Sinner has a lot of internal pressure to beat Raz seeing he’s 0-4. Idk man

Alcaraz looks superb, Paul isn't moving that well most of the time. Second quick night match in a row, speeded up even.

Carlos winning nearly two points out of three. Only five return points won by Tommy is crazy stuff.

Why are modern North American men so bad at returning?

Again, I didn't say anything about Paul in that post. Youre looking for an argument. Go find somebody who's interested.

You're interested enough to keep replying so we've already cracked the case, champ.

When it's Djokovic, a beat down needs to be forensically explained away and when it's someone else it's totally different somehow.

They are great though as only each other can expose that now. Unless you look at old Djokovic/Zverev but even they probably can’t hang with sinner/Alcaraz now.

The parallel is obvious and crying about it doesn't make it go away.

When it's Djokovic getting a beat down he has the right to endless discussion about what must have caused it and when it's Paul and he hasn't even been able to practice and has been carrying an injury, he just 'sucks'

Didn't I already say Tommy is injured so we have to give the benefit of the doubt for how he's playing today? When you brought up Wimbledon 2024 beatdown did you mention Djokovic's injury? No you didn't so you're being a hypocrite right here. Go sit down.
