The big one, folks, the Grand Salami, the last Slam match of 2025.

First HC Slam Final meeting and first USO meeting since the epic in 2022. Bigger stakes than just the Slam, as the winner will take #1 as well. Alcaraz comes into the match having dropped zero sets, but Sinner has dropped fewer games overall (52 vs 58).

Sinner should be slight favourite in betting odds, will post when available.

Hoping for another classic.

So here we are again , can Carlos takes the revenge or Sinner will keep proving hey he’s basically a Nadal on HC ? I pick Sinner in 4

Alcaraz won in 5 at RG in 2024 and 2025.
Sinner won in 4 at Wimbledon in 2022 and 2025.
Alcaraz won in 5 at USO in 2022.

Hopefully history repeats and Alcaraz wins in another 5 set classic just like their match 3 years ago.

Carlos can definitely beat Sinner but he should stay focussed and hit his form from the get go, can’t afford mental lapses like he had at Wimbledon

He cannot resort to drop shots. Felix honestly might have bigger serve +1 combo than Carlos. Alcaraz will be under pressure the entire time and can’t get free serve points as easily as FAA did today. I just think Sinner is kinda at 85-88% rn and that could be enough considering Carlos looks like a Shaolin monk at the moment

Loser mentality if Nadal was thinking like you he would have not won slams outside of clay and against prime djokovic and prime fed

Nadal rarely won slams against Big 3 off clay. Alcaraz may rarely beat Sinner will on HC - but not regularly. On clay and grass he stands better chance..

Tbh Carlos is serving fine this USO and Sinner himself is not serving well , Carlos has more weapons under his arsenal than MugAA. Match will be 60-40 Sinner.

70% chance of rain on Sunday. Roof probably closed for final. Some will claim that favors Beanpole. Open or closed, Carlitos is the peoples favorite to win another U.S. Open.

Vamos!
If the roof is up, that’s a massive, massive advantage for Sinner. Potentially decisive.

The only time he can get his first serve % above 60 these days is under a roof. Would help his relatively cleaner ball striking too.

If the roof is up, mark my words, Jannik Sinner will be your US Open champion.

If I had to take one key point of the match it's at Djokovic serving 3-1 30-30 . He had the chance to hit a clean winner with forehand. But he hit straight at carlos and the next shot he tried to pin but carlos hit an excellent slice fh to win the point.
Had Novak blasted an winner that time he would be 4-1 up and favourite to win second set

Don't really care. I was reporting the weather forecast, obviously you think you decide the weather.

As I said, open or closed, Carlitos is the peoples favorite to win another U.S. Open title.
Who says is the "people" favorite?
Also radar forecast says rain stopping 2 hours before not me.

Honestly think this one comes down to which coach will prepare a better gameplan. Both have been dominant yet visibly vulnerable at stages ; Alcaraz’s serve is still attackable, and rushing him still works on HC, while his decision making on touch shots has been downright shocking. Sinner’s first serve has been a discombobulated mess all tournament and while he’s been dominant, he is not in his marauding line-hitting ball striking form. There are chinks in the armour of both men, but both require risk-taking to expose, and good luck with that. Such a tactically enthralling match up. Can Ferrero match Cahill and Vagnozzi?

The Baldy in 4 sets, it will be a hell of a match.
