Who will win the 2025 US Open?

Alcaraz is probably the fastest tennis player I've ever seen, but he often just over does it.
He tries to retrieve shots that just kill him.

Yeah he might get to them, but is it worth it?
He makes it to an impossible shot, barely getting his racket on it, and pops it up to be put away on the next shot.
But most worrying is he'll get injured badly on one of those "impossible" shots.
Injured and also have to default the match.

Considering the tournament Director's recent admission on 'guided' draws.
I'm sure they fixed it so he could recover in time and will to get him to be a factor in the 2nd week and rake in the $$$$$$$$ for them and him;)
Only have one thing to say about this event, since Med is done now and I have no reason to care:

If Sinner doesn’t win, it will be because of the Wilson US Open balls. You can thank them if that’s the case. That is all.
Am I right or am I right?

Congrats to the Carlitos here. Much better result for the sport.

And sorry @speedysteve, I don’t know why it tagged you, lol.

Great play from Alcaraz.
I picked him to win on the poll from the outset.
Just felt he was on the rise and Sinner was struggling a bit at this time.

I now think that at the moment Alcaraz has a bigger game / higher ceiling - when he can string it all together.

I haven't been as impressed with Carlos. It's easy to look great when you have Lehecka mugging around who can't even make Alcaraz pay on 2nd serves.
Alcaraz does have some fundamental holes in his hardcourt game. I still expect Novak/Sinner to win UsOpen 2025.
Hehe

In winning 2025 US Open, Alcaraz has:

1. Won his 2nd Slam this season and 2nd at the US Open.
2. Won his 23rd ATP singles title and 7th this season.
3. Become the 2nd youngest man to win 6 Slam singles titles (after Borg).
4. Become 1 of just 2 active players to win at least 6 Slam singles titles (along with Djokovic).
5. Become 1 of just 13 male players to win at least 6 Slam singles titles in the Open Era.
6. Become 1 of just 28 male players to win at least 6 Slam singles titles in the history of tennis.
7. Become the 1st player to win multiple Slam singles titles on all 3 surfaces after the Big 3.
