Who wins? How many sets?

Will be interesting to see how Struff rebounds after playing a couple of sets today. If he is up for it, this could be war. When they played here in 2022, Alcaraz didn't win, he esCAPED.

Struff can be annoying to deal with on grass but Alcaraz will surely win this. Might mess around for a set or so, though.

Before voting, I need to know whether Ferrero is locking him up in his room or instead the young kid is free to visit his female friends during nights

Inshaallah my friend, may Struff win tonight because i don’t see Sinner beating Carlos here
You hoping for a Carlos upset? To clear the path for the Italian maestro. I agree if Carlos went out, sinner’s eyes will light up. The pattern is when Carlos loses early sinner wins the tournament. I don’t think Carlos loses but if he does it sinner who the biggest beneficiary no doubt.

I got Sinner winning this title irregardless
I think if Alcaraz makes the final he wins. But we’ll see if he can get there or if he is indeed getting worn down by all the tennis he’s played the last couple months.

Thankfully he has a pretty favorable draw, overall. Facing Struff early before the grass is gone is honestly one of the biggest challenges lined up for him here. I don’t think he’ll lose, but I do think he’s likelier to lose tomorrow than in any other round before the final.

If this were a first round match, Struff would of been fresher and the grass would of been slicker/faster.

However at this point, Struff is more tired and Alcaraz seems to find his rhythm.

Alcaraz in 4 sets.

I find that Alcaraz fans, they always want him to win, but don’t you think he’s due for a letdown? He won’t be always dominating his rival all the time, nor will he win in the fifth set.

I actually think, and many other analysts believe Sinner is going to break the duck somewhere and I think here is the best place to do it.

Wouldn’t hard courts not be the best place to do it?

Well, hard court is obviously the best place to do it. It’s true, he won’t win every slam final, every fifth set, and he has to lose sometime, but until he does I remain fairly confident. The business end of Wimbledon in particular seems to bring out his best tennis, so as long as he manages his early hurdles, I like his chances.

Thing about Alcaraz is that Sinner has really closed down on his turf. Sinner may have lost 5 in a row, but four of them were played on his most favorable surface, and he's not even outplaying Sinner. Hes barely getting by. And I just think that as good as a player, Sinner is, I can't see him losing 6 in a row. That's why I picked him to win because I think he will get a real test from the Old wolf in the semifinals and when he beats him, its gonna give him a major confidence boost to perform in the final.

Also here are my thoughts:

-Sinner hasn't won a title in 6 months
- Will prevent the win streak from 6-0
-Prevents Alcaraz from winning 6 slams

It's written in the stars @tudwell @Djokovic_is_the_best#1

I agree that sinner could do with a long match before the final. If say he beats Djokovic in 5 sets it probably prepares him better for alcaraz. He needs more longer matches under his belt to prove he can last distance especially against raz.

I actually like Sinners draw. It’s going to get him warm before the final. Djokovic isn’t gonna be easy but he will succeed IMO. And that will battle prep him for the final

I’m actually scared for Carlos for this match. This could actually go 5 again
I have Struff in straights if Alcaraz showed up with his Fognini form. It would be incredibly tough to win playing like that.

Good news is he’s more rested and should be better prepared. Struff has lost a step since their tussles in ‘22/23… he’s beatable.

Problem is Carlos usually play to the level of his opponents, so he will not lose in straights

This easily can be one of those moments where the upsets happen ala Sam Querrey style in 2016 or Muller 2017. He nearly beat Alcaraz on clay some year ago. I wouldn't write Struff out at all considering how Alcaraz has looked.
