Ooh half chance here at deuce. Struff is all over the Alcaraz serve like white on rice right now. Ferrero DO SOMETHING!!!!

Agree that Sinner needs to start beating Alcaraz soon. And it could have been as soon as French Open this year - if one shot was different. I mean how many people have won matches after being down 3 consecutive match points?
Regardless - I suspect Sinner will get Alcaraz maybe this Wimbledon or another slam soon. And then the flood gates might open.

The reason I think Sinner gets more slams than Alcaraz is that he is FAR SUPERIOR on harcourts which has 50% of the slams and 65% of the total ATP tour.

Alcaraz is also prone to lapses and losing early. Sinner because of his consistency will ALWAYS make the finals. Especially after Novak retires. Alcaraz has made the most of slams finals by winning them all.
But he will start losing slam finals soon - and given that he gets into fewer finals - his overall tally wouldn't increase as fast as Sinner's does.
So you expect alcaraz to get worse? Instead of better? Interesting point of view, isnt there the possibility, i dont know, that he gets better with age? I mean who knows, it could be the more likely outcome.

Tremendous return from Struff on game point, and then terrible forehand error long when he had total control.

It weird how they criticise Alcaraz more than sinner when he’s accomplished more already and being younger too! lol

Good points, it may turn out that way too. A lot of it depends on Sinner, how persistent he will be at plugging away until he gets that one big win over Carlito and maybe floodgates will open.

Will be very interesting to follow this rivalry. Good clash of styles and personalities.

Sinner is a great player but for his own confidence he needs to beat Alcaraz soon. In one of the next few meetings. Let’s see what happens.

Struff is playing some pure mug tennis. Two double faults serving at 4-4 in the fourth and then dumps a sitter volley into the net on game point.

That's reasonable. However, Alcaraz is already a very complete player. The only big thing he can improve is his serve. And maybe the concentration lapses.
Sinner has a bit more upside. His net play is weak. His movement front and back is not as good -given his height. His drop shots are awful. Slice isn't great. And serve could be better for such a tall guy.
So it will be interesting to see who improves more and has the edge. Sinner is just a little bit more steady and you know that he will always be there in the finals.
With Carlos - he has a GOD mode that no one can live with. But then he has another mode in which he gets beaten by mugs especially on hardcourts.
Anyway - it will be interesting. Let's see who wins more.

That's exactly my thought. I think it's great to have 2 players so different in styles and personalities. That is exactly what makes a great rivalry. Which is why Fed-Nadal was so compelling.
