That's reasonable. However, Alcaraz is already a very complete player. The only big thing he can improve is his serve. And maybe the concentration lapses.
Sinner has a bit more upside. His net play is weak. His movement front and back is not as good -given his height. His drop shots are awful. Slice isn't great. And serve could be better for such a tall guy.
So it will be interesting to see who improves more and has the edge. Sinner is just a little bit more steady and you know that he will always be there in the finals.
With Carlos - he has a GOD mode that no one can live with. But then he has another mode in which he gets beaten by mugs especially on hardcourts.
Anyway - it will be interesting. Let's see who wins more.
I dont find a good point that because youre worse at something you have potential to get better than someone who is already better than you at that something, just because alcaraz is more complete, doesnt mean hes closer to his ceiling, not necesarely at all, in fact, the thing that alcaraz is lacking is the most basic thing you get with age and experience: consistency, and the hability to pace yourself.

I agree with this perfectly as well. This is sound reasoning. Let's see what happens in the future. We are lucky to see such a compelling rivalry and 2 great players with ATG potential.
Thankfully we won't feel the void of Fedalovic because of these 2 young men.

That sitter volley that Struff missed on his serve game will haunt him. That could be the difference between losing in 4 sets or forcing a tight 5th set.

Useless commentators not even mentioning the idiot guy moving around during the point right in struff's eyeliner on the vital point he lost with that volley. The very same staff who are supposed to stop that happening from spectators. Wimbledon is so slack, does not deserve this level of play. Casually screwing the underdog spoils alcaraz's victory.

He played a great tennis after a long time, 5 first round losses and only one second round in the last two Slams and four Masters, so it hasn't been all that bad at this Wimbledon for Struff. Yeah, that game at 4-4 was a gift, but overall? Quite a solid performance, especially the adjustments he made after the first set.

Think Struff can be happy that he gave it a real shot and he definitely troubled Carlos at times, in the match.

I thought he would push Alcaraz to 4 sets at least, which he did, and yes some of the risks he took backfired , but you know what fair play to him for continuing to be aggressive throughout and really make Carlos work for the victory.

Sinner and Novak can definitely beat him but yeah he'd be the favourite. Say 60-40 against Sinner and maybe 70-30 against Novak in the eventual final.
I agree. I would put both at 60-40. Alcaraz is due for a loss against both.
Novak despite his age is playing very well too.
But wow - tough ask for Novak to beat Sinner and Alcaraz back to back. And for Sinner to beat Djokovic-Alcaraz back to back. Sinner was close at the F.O within 1 pt.

That is why draws are so crucial. It will be lopsided until we get a good #4. Whoever does not have Novak in their half will have a huge edge.
Alcaraz lucked out here by avoiding Novak and it was the same in the French Open.
