2025 WTA Sudden Death League: Wimbledon

I was able to foresee and avoid the Boulter-trap but still out because of unexpectedly weak performance by Vekic. Should have trusted one of my faves like the - only - three still continuing.
This must have been the very worst year for me in this game.

Vekic made it to the Wimby SFs last year. Even though 2025 hasn't been spectacular for her, it was reasonable to think she could get herself out of the 2nd round against Buckshot (Bucsa). Tough break.

Lucky loser Sierra looked rather mediocre in her victory over Gadecki and that came after her loss in qualifying to another Aussie Priscilla Hon.

So I truly gave her no chance at beating home favourite and decent grass player Boulter.

Ridiculous tournament this year.

Good luck to those remaining.

Good luck the rest of the way to those still in this. I think parity amongst the top players is almost here in both the men's and women's game.

From ESPN:
With 36 seeds eliminated after Jack Draper's loss, this year's Wimbledon will have the fewest seeds in any third round of a major since the 32-seed format began in 2001

Best of luck to the last ones standing. Although I didn’t think she could beat Keys, I’ll be rooting for Siegemund the rest of the way. I have always enjoyed watching her doubles matches, especially when she’s at the net.
She’s a tricky player!

Well thats another Wimbledon (and grass season) come to an end!

Congrats to @NaomiKonjuhPotapova for a strong run, didn't win the title but left the rest of us in the rear view mirror as the last one standing. They are now #1 in both the rankings and the race as a result so congrats!

The race is tight however, and will lots of people defending 3000+ points in the coming months its gonna be a fight to the finish!

Big thanks to @nounforcederrors and @Boozyuzi for carrying the load here this tournament, top seeds got knocked out and I got sick...it was not a fun Wimbledon LOL.

Next Event will be Washington! lets get the summer hardcourt swing underway!

Thanks everyone for playing!
