I disagree, I think Shelton really is trying to fight out here tonight. He is showing a good intensity despite being outplayed.

The main point isn't to say Sinner is as good as Fed and Shelton was as good as Roddick, rather, once Fed got the serve back, you felt like the rallies were in his control. And it's the same deal here, Sinner gets the serve back, and is almost in complete control.
Dude has a monster serve and here are his service games so far:
1) holds after 4 deuces
2) broken
3) holds after 15-40
4) holds after 30-30
5) holds after 30-30
6) broken

And at the same time the odds of him breaking more than once maybe in a match are close to 0. Sinner isn't doing anything special too.

I wouldn't say a word if this was some top 50 player, but the dude's a regular top 10 player and he struggles to hold on a faster surface EACH TIME despite having a bomb serve. And this isn't the first time too.

Sinner with 23 winners and 9 unforced errors
Shelton with 21 winners and 25 unforced errors

Tells the story. Hideous by Ben.
Shelton's numbers were tipped towards the positive after the first set. It got him nowhere, so he's gone for more. Sinner's numbers are not particularly good at all in the second after his mercurial first (other than now getting his first serves in). He's doing the bare minimum and letting the other guy hang himself.

Shelton has two slam SF’s and 3 slam QF’s and he only has one top 10 win at a slam? Jeez he’s been lucky. And that one win was over Tiafoe lol.

or maybe Sinner is one of the greatest returner the game has seen

Commentators focusing on how Sinner was covering his eyes as if he has a migraine or some issue. Also served a 119KMH second serve.

I’m not quite seeing an issue with him but just worth mentioning.

Could be some serious BLEEP afoot. Dude doesn't look happy at all.

I mean, I know he never does, but he looks troubled.

I’ll give it to Todd Woodbridge, he notices these things well.

Sinner hiding under the towel too. Interesting scenes may be coming up. Or could just be nothing lol.

That was a very weird last service game from Sinner, particularly to serve out a set. It would have been really interesting if Big Ben had been able to make Sinner play out a few more of those points rather than giving Sinner cheap errors. The first point was really weird. Sinner threw out a powderpuff first serve that barely reached the net, and in the third point he looked really off balance and was clutching at his eyes. There were opportunities for Ben in that game. He needed to elongate the points in that return game.

Sinner is The Human Wrecking Machine.

If he makes the final here, he will surpass Nadal's best consecutive run into slam finals, which is five, and he will equal Djokovic's best which is six.

After that, he's going after Federer.

Yep Sinner just has a read on it, similar to how Fed did to Roddick...

Also, I think we both know why Shelton is a "regular top 10" ... freaking DeMinor is seeded 6th LOL

Must cheer for Djok then to ensure he doesn't surpass Nadal
