2026 Roland Garros QF: Matteo Berrettini vs Matteo Arnaldi. The Battle Of The Matteo's.

That's terrible. Hopefully it's not too bad and we see him do well in grass.

Hopefully, It's his best surface, obviously made the final at Wimbledon and has a few grass titles to his name too but you have to wonder if he's even capable after what happened today.

This reminds me of the type of injury Nadal got, the quad area, it can happen at any time without warning.

Hopefully, It's his best surface, obviously made the final at Wimbledon and has a few grass titles to his name too but you have to wonder if he's even capable after what happened today.
And Berrettini took the 1st Set off Djokovic in the 2021 Wimbledon Final.

I think conditions will be very different and I also think his experience will stop Mensik playing the same game he did against Fonseca.
Yea the conditions will be very different tomorrow compared to the night match he played against Fonseca. There will be a little wind but not as bad as yesterday and today. A lot depends on how well each one serves.
Was it the groin or the heat?
I'm just watching the DVR and I couldn't figure out. In the end they mentioned groin.
Like someone said, I believe it was the hip/groin area.

Commies were talking about Berrettini needing to withdraw not just because of the pain but also to save his hopes for Wimbledon. But looking at the Wimbledon entry list, I see that because it's based on the rankings from 18 and 25 May, he is not one of the 104 players who qualifies for the draw as of right. Rather, he's the third alternate and thus slated for qualifying. He still would probably get into the main draw, as it's likely that three players will withdraw before it starts and as they might grant him a wildcard as a former finalist and big name player. I can't imagine him wanting to play qualifying, though, especially not while carrying an injury.
