sabalenka and rybakina should win more slams. So don't add to the list yet.

still it's better to win Slam rather than be close so many times
I agree that it is likely they will win more, but the list is accurate as of today, Jul 15, 2023.

Is the list intended to be derisive? It seems like domination on the men's side by a few players has made people cynical about players who win fewer than a boatload of slams.

The list is simply intended to be factual as of today, Jul 15, 2023.
People are free to draw their own conclusions as to the significance of it.

If you wish to view it in a derisive manner, go for it.
If you wish to view it simply as an interesting bit of tennis trivia, go for it.
View it in any way you wish.

Who says the Gods of tennis intended there be multiple slam winners?
Maybe they hoped for only one slam wonders, and then were disappointed when some
were greedy and went to the tree more than once!

Level playing field. Men's will see much of the same as the Fedal era ends. With more kids starting young, much more concise training and fitness, and data to review and work with, much of what sued to be raw talent has raised the bar for all players.

Which players in this list do you think feels about right for their abilities?
Which of these players do you feel overachieved to win their slam?
Which players do you feel underachieved?
And finally, which players do you feel will win at least one more?

They should just close the shop at WTA. Unseeded winners is a joke. And it happens too often in WTA. No credibility.

Jury is still out on six of the first seven, and I think Ostapenko, if she ever gets serious about fitness and learns a Plan B, will win another. The rest don't surprise me at all. Got to that level for two weeks. Many never reach that level at all.

That era ended like 4 years ago, fella.

Fed just retired. The lost gen is still out grinding but already being replaced by the young guns. Many of which have a solid set of skills and will compete readily each week over a few guys completely dominating. We will see who stars in the next era.

Is this the sign of a weak era or is that only reserved for the ATP?
You folks are talking out of both sides of the mouth at the same time!

One says having two or three slam winners over a couple of decades is an indication of a weak era.
Another says having many winners (you) is the indication of a weak era. :(

I'm not saying anything, I'm asking a question. I really want to understand the thought process of the weak era evangelists, that's all.

Not far off, even with an entire decade in the middle without one.
Alcaraz will be off that list eventually. Maybe even tomorrow.
Medvedev, who knows. Thiem is unfortunately done.
