I'm leaning towards Federer. I think Federer would beat the Nadal who just played in his match tonight. But Federer is also not at the level he was when he beat Nadal a few times in 2017.

Lol. Federer is totally unreliable since that match against Goffin in WTF 17. Nadal just played his acting role today but it's the favourite for tomorrow.

I voted for option 2, but I don't know. It might seem that Nadal's had enough of these beatdowns. I expect this one to be closer than the last three times they've met

I'll go with Federer. He's been playing some good tennis at this tournament and is always good here. Not expecting a repeat of 2017 or anything but I think Fed is more likely to win. Of course, neither outcome would surprise me. I just hope Nadal is match-fit for it

Nadal obviously laid all the ground work to leave federer with no chances of a win.

1. Nadal can talk to his team evaluate his chances for tomorrow and pull out giving Fed walk over. Moral Victor.
2. Nadal chooses to play and retires midway. Obviously the knee is about to break.
3. Nadal somehow completes the match limping and taking million MTOs and goes to the presser and says not a good time to talk about injury no?

Which one do you think is the most likely scenario to play out tomorrow?

All 3 are very good choices.

There is a fourth: Nadal beats Federer and declares that the injury is less serious than he thought, but will still pull out of Miami and Madrid (which he already planned).

If Nadal had of been fit he would have beat Federer with ease. Conditions are hot and high bouncing Nadal would have killed Federer BH. If thiem doesnt bottle it he will also beat Federer using same tactic

Rafa loves outdoors plus high bouncing courts it’s sad he didn’t play today his knee problems seem to affect his career always otherwise he’d have more majors

lol. still remember afraiderer tanking against robredo to avoid another beatdown from rafa at us open 2013. would have completed the full set of beatings at grand slams.
