2hbh follow through question

My son often hits himself in the back during the follow through of 2hbh drive. he's now kinda afraid of full follow through. I can't figure out what's going on exactly. guessing it has something to do with his hand position and wrist angle. Anyone knows how to fix this?

Without seeing the stroke I'd look at keeping the non dominant arm straighter longer which should help regardless of the cause

It's really elbow bend I imagine than hands and wrists.

kids tend to lack core strength and can overswing as a result.

if he's too intent on creating topspin and going up too much rather than extending through it could contribute to this.

Others mention it to me as well. Pros have plenty of linear extension but still have a full follow through with string bed parallel to the players back at the end of the stroke. So I don't quite understand it.

Shadow swing for a while. My hypothesis right now is his right hand is not relaxed enough when both hands get close to his right shoulder during follow through. I'll ask him to try let go of the right hand at that point and see if he still hits his back.
