In this thread we don't care about any aspects of the 2hbh vs 1hbh debate apart from one thing: which type of backhand has the potential to create the most topspin?

That's right - forget about return of serve, redirecting shots, hitting wide balls, hitting high balls, hitting low balls, easier to learn slice with, easier to learn volleys with...etc... - we're not talking about any of that in this thread.

Focus on the potential to create topspin. Which has more potential - two handed, or one handed? And why? And which pro's on the ATP tour do you cite as being able to hit the heaviest topspin from either a 2hbh or a 1hbh? Provide video evidence as well for brownie points.

Poll is up.

Pretty sure the greater range of motion of the 1HBH automatically gives it the potential to put the most topspin on the ball.

Tough to say, but I see massive jump off the court action from Gasquet's one-handed backhand, like I haven't seen with anyone's two hander.
