Find Yonex making inroads in the American market for mens player sticks (and many pro men play them) but they seem non-existent for rec women in my area.

They have been since the AI/DR days. I see a lot of Yonex sticks at my club now. Have played a few guys using/trying the new VCores, and have seen quite a few guys with EZones. Although these would be more "tweener" or "modern players" i guess. Then there's me with my 97HD, although it's currently sitting in the bag.

Well a brand with great QC, only a few lines of models but with a clear dna so the customer know what he’s buying, made in Japan production, less technology gimmick and great PJ: reminds me of Head when they were still in Austria. You can’t go wrong with such a good and honest formula

I hear a lot about this QC but have yet to see it myself. I’ve had several Yonex that were just as off as any Babolat I’ve ever had.
There’s threads on these boards with the new Vcore line having swingweights close to 20 grams off.

I've used Yonex since 1994. For a number of years only one other player at my club (I'm in Scotland) had a Yonex. I admit I was always keen on the brand and liked the idea of having something a bit different (I recall the lady in the sports shop seemed keen to sell me a Wilson frame, which I dismissed as "too common"). ;)

My VC95 came in spot on for static weight/balance as published. Yonex doesn't publish SW but I have 2 more on the way and I'll see how close they are. When I bought my new VCP 97 310 I checked a few in the store using their RDC and they were all very close in all measurements.

Vondrousova still plays the E Zone with the (lime and black) 2018 graphics, while Bencic has the newer (blue) E Zone paint for the women's final. There's a chance Yonex will sweep the WS podium as well.

These Yonex racquets feel at home in Jpan where they are produced.

I realize I'm late to the party on this, but those threads are misinformed as 'officially' there is no spec from Yonex for swingweight. It's only a measured average that places like TW do as a courtesy to us. Posted specs by manufacturers are normally limited to static weight, flex, and balance.

I've bought and strung multiple VCOREs and EZONEs over the last 3+ years, and have measured both static weight and balance, and all have been within +- 1g of static weight and +- 1/2 pt balance of posted specs. Granted this is a small sample set (maybe 12-15 frames?), but still, better than other manufacturers I've seen.

Its no wonder really…they’re really nice and fair to the players from what i’ve seen and their products are superior to others. A lot of rec players are switching to Yonex in my area too. Strings are also awesome and affordable. They “invested” in a lot of lower ranked players and it’s paying off.

First Yonex I ever hit with was one of the green metal ones. First Yonex I ever bought was the R-7. I loved the racket but took a good deal of verbal abuse from the guys over it. I'm back to Yonex now and happy to see other lumberjacks swinging it.
