4 Choices for Rackets which should i go with

Yonex RDS 003
Yonex RDS 001
Babolat Aeropro Drive
Fischer M Speed

i am a solid baseliner, who vollies well when i play doubles
which should i go with and why

If you like the fischer and the RDS, the Yonex RDX500 MP is kinda btw them. You should add that to your list. Fischer has great feel, lots of ppl like the Yonex RDS but I thought it was a little stiff at 68 RA when I demoed it. Do you like heavier or lighter frames, the frames you picked are kinda across the weight spectrum. What are your priorities in racquets?( Feel,Power, Serves, etc.) What level arfe you?

I would avoid Yonex Mid Plus frames. I spent some time with an RDS001 MP trying to weight it up like its mid counterpart, which I loved but the heads size was too small for me. It is a general consensus that the Yonex Mid Plus frames are not as solid as Yonex Mids. Those 4 racquets you mentioned are totally different from one another, and you need to give a lot more details about your game/ your rating before any suggestions can be made

i could not agree more... these racquets are all over the place... all different. Try out the Yonex RDX 500 MP (like mentioned earlier... not as solid as the mid size) very effective for doubles play... heck it's what i use!;) Please post more specifics and you will get better responses!:-)

A lot of ppl love Yonex MP frames. Maybe they didn't work out for you, but you dont speak for the tons of others using Yonex Mp frames. I agree that we need more info on your game, but yonex Mp are good, definately give them a try.

Borat, actually I have never seen anyone who thought a yonex mp was more solid than a yonex mid. The most respected racket experts on this board have said the same things.

YOu don't need two posts for this thing. It looks like by your name and your other post you have decided on a Yonex. So be it, quit asking for help in a decision only you can make.

Yonex RDS 003

Clearly, you should buy none of the above.
As long as you are asking others (and complete strangers!) which racquet you should buy, you are clearly not ready for a racquet.

Racquets are like girls - if you're asking other people to pick one for you, then you ain't ready.

Definately the RDS 003. It gives you just the right amount of power to put away volleys and groundstrokes. I reccommend this racquet because a friend of mine uses this racquet and his game is very similar to yours. I don't think that a solid baseliner would find enough power in the 001 to be satisfied. Gook luck finding a racquet. Also, if you don't have a western frip, then the Aeropro Drive plays like trash. I never tried the Fischer.

Hey if you're still unsure about which racquet to get, the Babolat Pure Drive does wonders for solid baseliners and counterpunchers!

They're all very different rackets; they're also different pending on the size of the racket (i.e. mid vs midplus). I have not hit with the RDS 003 so i cant give you an honest answer. I really like the RDS 001 Mid; i thought the midplus was a bit light for my taste, it also felt a bit bulky to manuver. The Fisher M Speed was way too stiff. The Aeropro was ok; it is a solid stick but I thought it was a bit overpowering for my style of play.

Just so you know what i'm currently playing with and using to compare: 2 200g HM and 2 200g MW.

If i was to switch, i think RDS 001 mid is the golden choice.

It appears you are leaning toward the red Yonex based on your user name. If you go with the 001 you'll need to change to YonexYellow2113. ;)

Rds 003

I never tried the Yonex RDS 003 MP but am curious. Does it have too much power? The 003 has a power rating of 2164 from tennis.com's Gear section. That is close to a typical power rating for a tweener racket. (For comparison, the Head Flexpoint Radical MP has a power rating of 2064, which is 100 points lower than the 003). Will the ball stay in the court if an intermediate using the 003 swings fast?

Yes it will stay in the court, I found it to be a solid racquet, but after owning one for a few weeks figured out it swung too heavy for me to get my usual max topsin on my forehands and kick on serves. Great for flat serves and one handed backhands though.

I found the APD to be great with spin, and I liked serving with it, but it performed poor at volleying, and had no touch/feel/comfort.

The Fischer is very nice, comfortable, and not bad at volleys.

Many people like the RDS 001, but I didn't care much for it.

I never said they were more "solid" tnnisguy, they are still good.

I've found the RDS 003 is very powerful indeed but i've never had any difficulty keeping the ball in court with loopy, fast swings. You can get loads of topspin on the ball with the racket if you use the right technique.

I'd say its more of an improvers/intermediate racket probably, with the power level and its forgiveness, but I do like it a lot. The tennis warehouse guide is 3.5-5.0 Ntrp. The light weight of it is something to get used to because there seems less stability on volleys, but you just have to get your technique right and it seems suitable. I've never had any elbow or wrist problems with it.

I've not tried the 001 but its probably something to go for over the 003 if you have more accurate developed strokes because you'd get the most out of it. Go for the 003 if you're not sure between the two.

Uh-oh! Deuce is on the reasonable approach I think. If you demo the right racquet for you, you'll know it and nobody will be able to tell you otherwise. If you go on the advice of others, it's way too easy to guess wrong, so do some test driving and have a blast.

done......bought 3 rds 001 mp's today...the oo3 was just way to powerful

i got mine strung at 57 with Forten crosses and Pro Supex Crosses

Congrats. You are lucky, while I agree with tennisguy that the mids are more stable, I also think the MPs hit better spin, better groundstrokes, and better SPIN serves(I liked the flat ones better with the Mid). I one 2 RDS 001 Mps also.
