#4: Green Shirt Guy / Most Exhausting Player :: The Megamind Interview Series

Will get there eventually. I am finishing the Bottomscratch Essays by R. N. Parera from Mallorca. They come with a countdown clock that inevitably elapses before I can turn the pages.

when the clock elapses, you can always start shouting that the clock doesn't favor intellectual tennis reading, or you can claim that in the previous book it was implemented differently and ATP didn't inform you about the change

I watched some of his videos.
A guy like him reaching USTA 4.5 rankings renders the tennis professor for adults activity useless.
Why pay for tennis classes if you can win matches without complicating yourself with hard to develop techniques?
Some players might wanna improve beyond 4.5 and do not care that much about winning in the short term.

in the long term we are all dead.
well, probably except for Saboush.

by the way, can you get past 4.5 without winning?
I don't know how the leagues work in the US.
In other countries you can choose whatever tournament category you wish to play. If you get doubled bagelled is up to you.

in the US, you can start off at whatever level if you haven't played matches before, but after that you will get down ranked or up ranked depending on match performance

GSG has a winning record at 4.5, so could very well be joining the 5.0 league soon (featuring college player level talent)!

Holy ****. This is the most counterintuitive thing ever. I swear I could beat the guy by watching him play.
However based on what u said I would probably lose 6-1 6-1

Inspiring story from GSG! His tennis improvement was quite fast and furious initially, possibly from his basketball/weight lifting background but seems to have plateaued somewhat in terms of NTRP level.

He seems to have been working very hard in the last year or so to improve, I wonder if 2021 will be his year to break into 5.0 territory!
