Daniil still the one defending points. Two matches away from a 2nd Major and World #1. Stefanos would be gunning for 2nd career Final, first Slam and move up to world #3.

Certainly playing less than half the time is some kind of edge for CITY BUS!!!!!

Stef's volleying will be the key to this match. I find that Medvedev is really struggling with an aggressive shot + move forward combination, and Tsitsipas is (laughably) one of the best in the world at this offensive transition and footwork moving towards the net.

I think Tsits has a chance but ultimately his returning may doom him. Certainly don't expect a routine 3-0 like last year though.

Very pessimistic about this one, Med had 3 tough matches before this semi. This quarter took a lot. If Med wins it will be amazing, but Stefanos is playing as well as he can. Daniil will be tired.
One win over the overrated Sinner and you already losing hope for your boy!? C'mon Forehand cross.
In reality Tsitsipas is extremely good matchup for Medvedev, and the guy can recover physically in the next 2 days, no doubt about that one.

I went with an anticlimactic straight sets win for Medvedev. I enjoy both players' games but I think the Russian is more determined. He is also, stylistically, a bit of an antidote to the Tsitsipas play.

I have a feeling that there's no way Medvedev is losing this. FAA may have awoken him.

Then again, he's no Djokodal stamina wise, so who knows?

I will keep my optimism reserved until the first set , if Med is physically fine and playing decently, I will side with him even if Stef wins the first set.

Some comparison:
Last year, Stef was mentally exhausted after defeating Nadal from 2 sets down in the QF while Daniil streamrolled through Rublev; Daniil had more rest.
This year, Daniil will probably be exhausted after defeating FAA fom 2 sets down in the QF while Stef manhandled Sinner; Stef has more rest.

An anticlimatic 3-0 for Stef or another 5-set thriller? Another blockbuster.

Med probably loses, but he will make Stef play at least 3 hours. Nadal if he himself isn't tired, has a chance of a lifetime to win this AO.

Medvedev put himself in a tough position after today’s QF. Nadal had a tough match too, but he will have an extra day of rest.

The worst outcome would be a 5-setter. I want Medvedev to win (because he has a better chances at defeating Nadal should the latter make it to the final). But, if Tsitsipas wins the first two sets, then I would want him to close it in three.

Medvedev all the way against Tsitsipas if he s not to tire! 4 hours and 45 minute match pretty hard to recover from! Medvedev needs to keep the match 4 sets or less.
