4G Low Tension?

Is the tension maintenance of TB or 4G better? TB at 35 was too low for me and balls flew. Would 4G at 40 be good? Also, does TB or 4G have more power? Thanks.

4G will have better tension maintenance and less power than Tour Bite. It also plays great at low tensions.

Does 4g or max power have a livelier response? max power got a really low power rating, 38 while the 4g got a bit higher. Chris found the 4g to be slightly livelier than the MP acc. to his ratings, but want to hear what your thought is Andy. B/w the two, which would you start with for the gut/poly hybrid.

They are pretty similar in terms of power in that they are both very low-powered. I'd have to hit with them both again in the same racquet at the same tension to tell you EXACTLY which one is lower-powered, but they are both pretty darn low-powered.

I know this isn’t the lowest tension exactly, but I tried 4G 1.25 crossed with Volkl v-pro 1.23 at 42/42. It was actually pretty comfortable with good power and enough control. But I will say the 4G started moving around and getting stuck out of position almost immediately. And the sound from the string bed was oddly quiet. I’d go up a few pounds next time.
