4g or yptp as cross

Hey guys,
I was trying yptp as cross and it was v e r y sweet feel but too much power for me, and i play now with 4g and its good, very control oriented, not fun as the yptp but plays better in terms of consistency and control.

What would you do, string the gut/yptp tighter or loosen the gut/4g?

Tried both at 57/53, bit worried that 60 ibs with gut will last not so good, last time with gut/yptp i changed the strings after 28-30 houres more or less

Is YPTP powerful straight off the bat or after a few hours? How long does 4g last you?

I find my poly cross dies after 10-13 hours of play, and the power level jumps significantly from there. I tried restringing the cross but due to the notched gut the snapback just wasn't there and that's when I lose control due to big drop in spin potential. Tension doesn't matter as much to me as long as there is enough spin potential.

Feels too powerfull right in the beginning
I normally play this setup (55/52lbs), and it lowers in power after a slight break in.

I just strung 4g (same tensions) to try as a cross, and can definitely say Yptp feels much softer (while I was stringing it), so you could probably go up a few pounds without losing too much of the feel.

I think the main thing that make me change to 4g was the return. I could not smack returnes in great power because the ball was hitting the fence. but, with yptp i can play with much less effort. should be thinking about it :)

4g with a bit less tension would be my bet

Just Ordered few sets of isospeed cream (1.23) based on good reviews here. Consider the tensions of the hybrids above - 52# is a good starting point?
